Nobody knows, or if anyone knows they're not talking. Last word was they were working on an undetermined project.

I remember LP had 2 people who visited SimHQ. C3PO was their primary PR guy, he was around a lot. Then one day he vanished. He showed up again briefly a few months later, not in the F4 forum but elsewhere, with LP removed from his sig and username. I asked him point blank about the change, he never responded and quickly disappeared again permanently. At the same time another guy who was actually a programmer was on for awhile, maybe up to a year after that. I think Ed_1 was his user name? He answered technical questions/issues, gave details on upcoming patches, but unlike C3PO said nothing really about the future. I can't recall the last time I saw him.
I'd heard they had the rights to make a so-called Falcon 5 and/or add-on of a new plane (I think the F-15E was mooted) to the whole electronic battlefield idea that F3 had introduced in 1991, but were working on a graphical update of the engine ala the Free Falcon work (but to be more stable). I distinctly recall that they claimed F4:AF sold better than their expectations by a good amount, at least initially. Whether it peaked early and died off early and led to higher or lower than expected sales in the end no one ever said, but the future seemed bright. I had to wear shades.
I took them off long ago.

I guess the task of creating a brand new sim proved too much for them? Bummer, if so.

Graphsim is working on Allied Force for the Mac right now. They put out a call for beta testers in January. Did they find any? The few people I know who have a Mac as their only computer would not be at all interested in a combat flight sim. i assume Graphsim would have done some proper market research though.

Looks like they found one at least. Well, best of luck to them. I must be the only person on the planet not to have a copy of the leaked F4 source, so I'm guessing this would be only for Intel based Macs since F4 would have used a fair bit of assembler code?

I´ve read on DCS forums that LP closed it´s doors in 2010!? I thought they are working on a new sim... No one seems to come with a Falcon like DC nowadays , so this was somehow my last hope...

Not until last year? I'm surprised, although no announcement was made, I would've bet they folded up long before that.
Apparently having the license to the biggest flight sim of all time and a successful release was insufficient to keep them going. Whatever.

Well that's a real shame - it would've been amazing to have Falcon remade for the current tech. especially if it came with one or two more flyables. Their site is still up though... http://www.lead-pursuit.com/
