Nice to see some shots that look like they are in the engine.
Interesting to compare to Jet Thunder.

Hi Gents, Yes indeed the shots are in-game… There is a Fighter Ops calendar (for the month of May) that is graciously being hosted by SimHQ in the calendar section. This calendar screen is a real time in-game image with our terrain. The only enhancements to the screen were the removal of some jpg artifacts, and the reflection streak added to the cockpit. Please keep in mind that the interior cockpit has not been textured. http://www.simhq.com/_calendar/calendar.htmlRick "rjetster" Ladomade XSI Fighter Ops

"MiG-28s! No one's ever been this close, before..." What's a realistic time frame for release? Or is that one of those "no-no" questions?

Probably a premature question.
Terrain is really incredible in the shot.

Nice to see some shots that look like they are in the engine. Interesting to compare to Jet Thunder. I think it's the first time I see Fighter Ops in-engine screenshots. I have to say they look excellent. Specially the sky gradient, sea shader and the surface shader on the plane. In comparison, our Jet Thunder is suffering in the shaders department, we don't even have a proper water shader yet - our code department is so old-school We're accepting coding help in this issue (in exchange of a percent of the game sales when ready. JT is OpenGL by the way)

Dante,
I don't want you to feel that I am criticising your work or progress on Jet Thunder in any way. I was merely saying it is interesting to see what different things each team have chosen to implement.
Again, I hope you don't feel that I was criticising you or Jet Thunder, as it is one of the few games that I am really looking forward to!

Don't sweat it, Dante. Your project is on my Must Buy list along with Fighter Ops.

Buckshot: thank you! Indeed it's a tough slog, so tough that sometimes I would like to have a development budget, it would be the best way to whip the coders into work LOL Torquatus: don't worry, it was just a technical explanation coming from my techie side - indeed FO seems to make good use of shaders (is it DirectX9 or 10?), while we still didn't had the resources to go deep into that realm. shan2: Thanks well apparently FO and JT are the only modern jet sims in development afaik I'll buy FO for sure as I have a crush with the T-38 (and the rest of this Northrop family, F-5 and all)

Looks pretty, but wake me when there's a video.

#27 #39 #48 mauhauha you remembered, thanks colt. just watched the vid,i dont want to look, like someone against your product or a mocker, but that video looked very suspicious to me,like you rendered the video of the scenary and added the plane later, cos they don't look like they are in the same enviroment at all. the plane model looks great, tough too clean, and i dont mean the texture,i mean it kinda look like those replicas you build.
