I think most of the great, older games people have gotten to run under XP or W2K at higher resolutions all were written to support 3DFX. The "Glide Wrappers" emulate the Glide graphics which, at the time, were proprietary 3DFX code. I use the DGVoodoo wrapper in a couple of programs written for 3DFX and, even though the resolutions offered in the game are 640x480 or 800x600, the wrapper allows you to force them to approximately double those values and I can run at 1024x768. I don't know how wide-screen formats would be handled or even if it can be done. Another note, it's been awhile since I installed MA so I can't remember for sure, but there is no mention of 3DFX support on the box or in the paperwork, so the Glide Wrapper route may not offer any options.
