The padlock box remaining on the bandit with padlock off is a Track IR users ultimate feature Ummm... could you outline how you do this ? When I press ESC I don´t get the box anymore... as it should be...

Retro that feature you implemented is one of the best, along with the increased FOV. I'll teach you how to use your feature : Press s to padlock...press s to de-padlock . The diamond remains, at least in pan mode, what is the mode I use. Nevertheless, if you press the sticky keys (ins, del...) for views, the diamond will not show, you'll have to pan to that angle. The greatest shortcoming MiG Alley has about dogfighting is the bogeys disappearing over the ground, due to the odd LOD settings. Couple it with the lack of icons above aircraft, it's very difficult to track the enemy (more than in reality i guess). Icons and modified LODs would be a nice feature for future BDG MA's releases, in the meantime, the "remaining diamond feature" is a good workaround. greetings

I did a FSM for this (I think in the 'others' section).. the problem is that in the campaign you will lose the changing AI paintschemes..

Retro you're the best! Even the bugs you introduce are good! I've downloaded the high-res MiG-15... but you have linked it wrongly in your page. Its linked to "highpolymig.zip" while the actual name of the file is "highpolymigs.zip". greetings

OK as I´m no a proud owner of a TrackIR unit (thanks to the guys at naturalpoint ) I resurrect this thread... My problem is that I get an annoying amount of jitter... is there any way around that ?

BTW I´ve changed the handling of the Padlock Center function somewhat... I´m afraid the 'doubletap-trick' won´t work anymore... but the labels should work..

Mouse movement tracking is indeed more 'coarse' in MiG than BoB.. don´t know right now how to correct this.. (or if we should as all, since everyone who is going to notice this is likely using TrackIR and I hope we will be able to support this device more directly later..)
Then I´ve noticed that removing the 'targeting diamond' might not be a good idea... dogfighting sure gets much more confusing without it... comments ?

Enlighten us poor sods, please, I for one am on the look-out for stuff like this. @Osram Mig Alley and Mouse control drove me up the walls, I couldn't get it to work at all. The bdg.txt has a line in it #INVERT_VIEW_PITCH removing the "#" didn't help, the manual says that this switch set to "ON" will do the thing, but, alas, no. However, when I was about to give up I found that altering the line to MA_INVERT_VIEW_PITCH did work. At the risk of becoming the most feared reader of manuals of BoB and MA, is it just me or could this passage be re-written? As it is now it was a bit confusing to me and maybe to others as well. Hope this helps Prion
