I as well. Nice to see someone has decided to use the Torque engine.
However this quote from one of the developer comment feedback leaves me pondering:
"The actual game, kinda sprang from me and Rog wanting to remake Red Baron, but deciding on another era as there were lots of WW1 dogfighters."
Not sure where he has been simming for the past few years. Doh!
I'm so tired of this trend towards light-simming. The developers seem to think we players don't enjoy a challenge. Why would newer players to the genre be any different from what we were when we started? The main asset of simming for me is it is still one of the few genres geared mainly towards the older gaming crowd. The real kick in the jumblies is some of these new sim games look simply beautiful but the ease of play leaves me bored in a day or so. No learning, no challenge, no real sense of accomplishment.
Still, I just don't buy that a younger gamer that can micro-manage a Roman civilisation or memorise a plethora of spells and combat button combinations would find an accurate sense of flight too esoteric and tough to learn.
Sorry about that little mumble.
Just getting frustrated waiting for something WW1 I can really sink my teeth into.
Thanks for the news though Hentzau.
