Ahh nice..this patch cant come soon enough. I agree. Whomever thought the tactical lights would be a good idea with a bloom that large should be forced to play with teammates who use them all the time

I didn't see any mention of the tactical lights on the list of "fixes".
I hope that was just an oversight in adding it to the list, but still correcting it in the game. I see a lot of comments about people wanting the IRNV nerf'd.

Joined 4 different servers and crashed out of all of them, no error message. Are the servers updated at the same time or at the owners discretion?

• Reduced the damage from FIM-92 and SA-18 IGLA missiles against aircraft. • Reduced the damage .50cal weapons do against Helicopters. • Decreased the maximum damage and maximum range of the G3 and SCAR-H 7.62mm weapons.
I just lost my interest in BF3. I'm going back to BF2 now...
These changes are kind of puzzling. Having spent a few hours both in the jets and behind the MANPAD launchers, I feel that the missiles were pretty underpowered against aircraft. Scoring a hit on a jet with the missiles was hard enough to begin with, between jets using flares and terrain features to escape lockon. If anything, missiles should disable a jet with a single hit to compensate for the fact that they're so hard to actually put on target against a skilled pilot.

may be it is just a typo. i agree with u, i did not find the G3 and the SCAR particuliary powerful. the 7.62 is a powerful round!...lets go and try it on the field!

Just got done playing on a couple of servers with no connection/crashing problems, but seriously, this is what they call "improvements"?
The aircraft now have free reign to do whatever they want since the AA missiles are now useless. The omnipotent flares were bad enough pre-patch, but now it's not even worth carrying SAMs on your person or your vehicle. The .50s have been dumbed-down against helis, so they can now overfly with impunity.
Half the team is now not on a squad thanks to the new system. The old one sucked, but at least you got in a squad and semi-pretended at teamplay. Maybe if they paid at least a little attention to implementing VOIP, things could improve, but until then, teamplay is utter #%&*$#.
They 'nerfed' some weapons that weren't that great to begin with (small ammo capacity, recoil, etc.), but left others alone (shouldn't be able to run and gun with a .50 cal sniper rifle IMO).
Yep. The much-needed tac-light fix ain't there, and the laser pointers still blind you from half a block away.
The script kiddies are still rampant. I'm not talking about the ones that beat you "so they're obviously hacking". I mean the blatant aimbots and armor scripts (I refuse to call script kiddie cheats a 'hack'. Makes them sound more competent than they actually are.) EA said they were taking this seriously, but I'm not seeing a decline.
Overall, I'm becoming less and less impressed with this game. It seems the developers are trying to go for a Call of Duty kill (ain't happenin'), instead of a tactical-lite sim that BF2 succeeded with. If they keep fixing things to satisfy the tweener twitch kiddies, this ones going to fade fast. Sad to say, since the visuals, sounds and potential could make this one a classic.
