Now, that woulld be a neat system to simulate. I assume that it's performance would be similar to that of the SA-3.

With the time invested and attention to detail that I have experienced with the current weapons systems in this simulator, I agree! thumbsup

It would be neat to incorporate current progress into DCS engine so that SAM sim will meet 3d world. Oh one can dream…

I never seen any Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited. HAWK documents.
(In fact, I never seen any documents about the HAWK.) nope
I assume, that its performance is closer to the KUB (SA-6).

Does this mean, I get to press buttons and see the hydraulic pressure of my missile launchers rise? If yes, I vote for this further increased realism as the next developmental direction.

It would mean performing the system startup pre-checks, after system switch on, against the time.
(Using many more buttons, and switches on the Volhov panel, unused currently)
Hydraulic pressure of my missile launchers rise is not included in this.

The voting is not started yet, just doing a brainstorming with You.

Close enough. I'll plug my vote early.

Results from math modeling and real practice с75 от&...amp;#1074;.djvu, for C-75M3. Interesting results... Obviously the best (so far) method that I found to escape from 5Ya23 and -750;755 is "kabrirane" (loft) with 8 g (Kill possibility with 1 missile - 0.2!!!). Against targets with maximum parameter - fragments hits with 0-15 degrees and often only "scratch" the target... Shooting in "Dogon" - fuse detects the tail of target, and fragments hits tail, so no important components are destroyed, so must use more than 1 missile.

Thank you for the help. I was firing way too late. The missiles didn't track because the SR-71 was going into it's lefthand turn.

Kub is like little brother of Krug, very similar.

From operator point of view and instrument vise, the ZSU-23-4 Shilka is pretty similar to KRUG (SA-4), KUB (SA-6) is far different.
From missile guidance point of view, KUB (SA-6) is closer to the S-200VE Vega (SA-5B) [and HAWK], than anything else.

This is the "M" version, while I plan the "V" into the SIM, in the far future...

Oh, i had no idea which version i'm building, its all due lack of reference photos on the web and their quality.
If You can supply me with V version photos i could also make that version.

Biggest difference is at the Commander's panel.

It would be cool if scripts could be used to integrate this into the DCS series... that is my impulse...

What does the commander's panels on the Shilka do? Will these functions be modeled for the sim? And are you actually able to make a super accurate hardcore Kub or Buk now?!
