Do these sort of books/pdf's work with a device like a kindle ?

How can you be so certain it's pirated ? It was hardly difficult to find, I put in the book title into google and hey presto fourth entry down.

I suppose I expect dodgy stuff to come from dodgy web sites.

I thought there were loads of free books available as e-books, indeed I've read some before purchasing the real thing, I haven't got an e-reader so don't know what they're like but I struggle reading anything of any length on my computer and thus prefer the real thing.

It is a Ukrainian website, do you expect a big legit operation to have a .ua address instead of a .com URL?

You can see that the book is sold in Amazon, and frankly, to think that a relatively new and rather huge book would be just given away for free is quite disingenious. The flatscreen tv without original packaging sold by a guy down at the pub isn't legit either...

We have authors in this forum (JFM etc.) and both they and many others surely wouldn't be happy to see others rip off their work and suggest where to download pirate copies.
