Apparently so. I had to unplug my X-52 just to be able use default commands like "Fire" (left mouse button). Anybody else?

Yes. I have a Logitech Extreme 3D joystick. Had to unplug it, otherwise I would keep firing, nevermind that I didn't hit the left mouse button.

Yes same here with my X52, So I'm sticking to the xbox 360 controller. If you have a wired one, that is currently the way to go.

I have an X45. Had the same thing happen.

What I did, after actually uninstalling the program and then *GUH* re-downloading the whole thing because I didn't know how to use Origin and that I should save the install files thanks to a check box/*GUH*, was to go into the settings and for the on foot controls delete any joystick commands associated with anything in there. Just hold down ESC after clicking on the joystick control and it should clear it out. Seemed to do the trick.

No problem with my X52 Pro except I can't use it in the game at all.

I just drove tanks backwards with the turret pointed back too until I figured it out and unplugged the rudder pedals biggrin

Can't you just disable it if you use software like CH Control Manager, or even thru Windows? Or do they have to be physically unplugged?

Okay, following some of the advice here I have just:

1) Unplugged my X-52, then -
2) Disabled all of the default joystick commands in the BF3 Options/Keybinding menu by choosing it and then holding the Esc key until it is erased
3) Plugged my X-52 back in and played without any conflicts between the joystick, mouse, or keyboard.

Note: I couldn't erase joystick bindings while the joystick was plugged in.

This bug was also in Bad Company 2. I had to unplug my X-52 gear.

One of my Clan mates just told me to do this.
Remove all of the joystick assignments in the 'On foot' section of the controls in BF3(select binding and hold Esc to remove) then re-assign the controls you want.

Just going to try this, will report back asap.

*Update* I ended up removing all the joystick bindings in all sections and then re-assigning the ones I wanted and hey presto! I can now fly with my Logitech 3D Pro and my tanks have more than reverse gears when I get in them biggrin
