Which browser is best?

I used Firefox 64bit for a couple of months. It was the fastest browser hands down. Just got tired of it crashing and now use regular old Firefox. No doubt that Chrome is fast though.

Chrome serves my limited needs well although I am probably not using most of it's features.

Better late than never smile Firefox mostly , has all the addons and plugins i prefer plus i have been using it for years and i am comfy with it.Tried chrome but it just keeps on being slooow, obviously not the browser but something to do at my end.IE9 i use as backup, depends , sometimes firefox has a spaz so i switch to IE and it works fine, sometimes IE is slow so vice versa.Prefer FF because of the addons i use but i really don't care either way.As long as i can get to the net and it is at a good speed i am not fussed.

Would like to get chrome sussed though and see how she rolls.

^this^
I've tried other browsers and they are okay but you have to either add a lot of stuff (widgets, etc) to make them as good as Opera or use other utils. I have found it to be better in just about every way that all the other browsers.

Opera as well, for reasons already stated.

I use whatever browser works until a file becomes corrupted or some other bug screws it up and i have to switch.

For example Chrome recently crapped out on me so i deleted it and switched back to Firefox. When Firefox screws up i switch back to Chrome.

Safari screws up quicker then Chrome or Firefox so it's off my list now.

Won't mess with IE since it's tied into Windows Core.

IE for stability
Chrome for speed
FF for downloading (the DownThemAll plugin really works good!)

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Chrome. Although, I still use Firefox for Pandora, since the ad-blocking software on Chrome does not work with Pandora. With Firefox + Adblock, it's as if ads were never there on Pandora.

For work I use all the majour browsers since it's part of my job to ensure that the code I've written will be supported by all of them.

At home, I use Chromium (the non-Google basis for Chrome) on Linux and Windows, sometimes IE when some websites don't play nice. Luckily that's like 0.5% nowdays as there are very few "this website works best in IE" sites left.

I have a special place for FF because I used it for so long, and it kicked off the Browser Wars 2.0 leading to amazing innovation through competition in that arena after years of stagnation thanks to Microsoft's stranglehold with IE6. I don't think FF has kept up though, but that is down to perception and personal opinion. Chromium (and Chrome) just feel much quicker and are light on the computer.

There is no "best" browser. To find the best for you, you need to try them.

Personally, for customability, I use Firefox. But I think about giving Chrome a try.

IE9 is certainly not comparable anymore to the old IE6 and is a solid product. I tried Opera at work, but can neither praise nor loathe it, looks like a solid product to me as well.

Regarding security, it mainly depends on your browser settings anyway and the way you use and have set up your computer.
