There sure are a lot of browsers out there these days. My old favorite, Netscape Navigator, died the death a long time ago. These days we have Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and probably quite a few others that you computer savvy folks know that I've never heard of before. Let's face it, I run sims, check the news, check the weather, and once in a while visit youtube, so my computer horizons aren't very broad. So, for those of you who know more about PCs, the Internet, and all that than I know, which is probably all of you, if you could have only one browser, which one would it be? Which browser is best? Cheers! Rick... I think this is day one in "How to start a geek fight on the internet" 101

Opera, by far. It's a very underestimated browser, it has so many little things that make it a great app, once you start using it, you won't go back to your previous app. ^this^ I've tried other browsers and they are okay but you have to either add a lot of stuff (widgets, etc) to make them as good as Opera or use other utils. I have found it to be better in just about every way that all the other browsers.

Won't mess with IE since it's tied into Windows Core. +1 or minus (-1), how you look at it WC so is (-1) redundant? (Yes)

IE for stability Chrome for speed FF for downloading (the DownThemAll plugin really works good!)
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

For work I use all the majour browsers since it's part of my job to ensure that the code I've written will be supported by all of them.
At home, I use Chromium (the non-Google basis for Chrome) on Linux and Windows, sometimes IE when some websites don't play nice. Luckily that's like 0.5% nowdays as there are very few "this website works best in IE" sites left.
I have a special place for FF because I used it for so long, and it kicked off the Browser Wars 2.0 leading to amazing innovation through competition in that arena after years of stagnation thanks to Microsoft's stranglehold with IE6. I don't think FF has kept up though, but that is down to perception and personal opinion. Chromium (and Chrome) just feel much quicker and are light on the computer.
Only dead fish go with the flow.
