I would always read one of his gardening stories. In fact, reciting them out loud to my wife would usually result in my being exempted from gardening duty when I'd remark, "What a great idea...flamethrowers for weeding..."

His sense of humor and wry observations of everything from the grocery store to the neighbors are missed. It was always entertaining to talk to him on TeamSpeak with other staff members because you could really get a sense of Tom's enthusiasm for the site. He loved SimHQ..and I think we all know that love is returned 1000-fold. I hope he is getting better.
