Hey Xrok and rest of the crew. GG last night!

It took us a while to get that one last guy on the server but once we got it going it was fun. There is nothing like having a brand new game that you want to play and you are waiting on the server with seven guys to get this rolling. lol

Finally got the scope unlocked for SCAR last night and figured out how to add it on the rifle. Huge improvement over the iron sights. Thanks to whoever helped me with this. Ill probably be on tonight again around the same time.

I also wanted to bring something up, perhaps if we get a bigger crowed tonight, we should move the comms to TS, and get in different rooms. I know last night we were just messing around, but there were few times where i wanted to go "Ok guys lets take point A" but with the enemy in the same chat biggrin you kinda seating your self for ambush. Lol

Got a great time last night!...

Long time I didn't play with that crew (a couple of years), and I really did enjoy it. Nice running with you XRoK!...

It reminded me the good old days of CS and AA in regards to the intensity!

did the server cycle maps or stick with the same one?

did it go back and forth from conquest to rush, then new map, conquest to rush?

i know the first night we were stuck on ONE conquest map.

Only played a few rounds last night and it appeared to stay on same map/mode (Market and Conquest).

Just tried the SimHQ server, but only me on it! Tried several others but they never worked, usually kicked by admin for something. Seems like a good game, but having real trouble just playing it.

you might have the punkbuster issue, might want to read that FAQ for the solution.

I can't even get into the server as I get the "Kicked my an admin" thing even though my PB is updated.

Archermav, sounds like you have the punkbuster problem - getting kicked after a couple of minutes of being on a server. It is a big topic on the EA forums but don't have any advice for you. Hopefully it gets sorted out very soon as alot of people seem to have the same problem.

Have you guys with the PB issue gone to evenbalance's website and downloaded and ran PBsetup.exe to manually update punkbuster? That often fixes PB problems.

Well, the SimHQ server is rocking now - can't get back on! lol

Just had a great round with Aero, Punisher, Snake, Xrok, Dirt Diver and Hunedog all on Teamspeak. Plus got to watch fatty and Tex get shot a fair bit too on t'other side. smile

It's funny, we all did the 'party invite' thing and then sat at the 'Waiting for 7 players to join' screen for 10 minutes, but once the game is up and running then the hoards descend on it. People like to join semi-populated servers but no-one likes to start them I guess.

It was a good time for sure. I actually thought it was growing a little tiresome when it picked up. That was just sort of a wild free for all once the server filled up, and I was enjoying it more early on when we were more organized in our approach.

I also tried another server, playing "rush" for the first time, and that was pretty good. I liked how it kept the battle focused. I'd like to see that on the SimHQ server, though I think I voted for conquest in the poll. I liked conquest in BF2/BF1942 because somehow the maps had a more linear flow. There was a natural and obvious progression to the checkpoints but you could work some strategy advancing and dividing their territory, but the Bazaar map is too random. Maybe that's the point (urban combat and all) and people like it, but I prefer the battles where the enemy is (generally) coming from one direction.

I'm doing much better now that got the SCAR-H unlocked. For some reason I just don't get on well with any of the AK variants.

actually the server should be cycling between conquest and rush, each map...

Once i get more server controls and a team of good admins, the SimHQ server should start becoming a little more organized and professional.

Unfortunitly for me, I work nights 5 nights a week, and no one is ever on the PC version during the day, so I'm forced to play the 360 version more because of more activity during the day... but we will try and get some PC admins soon.
