Grim statistics, be sure. Those spikes are the patch releases?
It's all moot now, though; CoD finally nudged me into selling my PC.
My only justification for owning and constantly upgrading an already expensive PC was the increasingly few hours I spent flying hardware-intensive flight sims. So when the mess that was CoD finally surfaced I found myself harbouring the contradictory emotions of disappointment and apathy. Six months later it still ran like crap and there was no way I was going to start splashing hundreds of pounds on new hardware just to be able to bludgeon my way past it's problems.
And so, relieved, I've walked away. I was probably falling out of love with this hobby anyway, if so CoD was very much my 'KT event'. Being human I fully expect to be lured back into the fold at some point in the future. Undoubtedly there will be some combination of aircraft and theatre that will convince me that my life would be immeasurably better were I only to raid my bank account.
But for the foreseeable future I'm off the crack; and it feels good.
