Steel Beasts Pro PE is now available for $85 (instead of the regular $110.-) at the eSim Games web shop. This offer will expire with the release of SB Pro PE 2.6x (scheduled for December); upgrades from any older version to 2.6x will then cost $25.-

nice... trust me folks... and the many other SimHQ members who play this sim/game... very much worth every cent... years and years of entertainment, and more to come. Good deal if you haven't caved in yet.

Thx Ssnake.

Well, I can't help but notice it is only a deal if I didn't want to upgrade in December to 2.6x.

The update will cost $US 25-30, most likely, last time they had an early-order-bonus. That would still make the whole package 10-15 bucks cheaper than usual (regular price is 125). Also, those not knowing the sim and usually scared away by the price, have the opportunity to check it out for some smaller money, and if they do not like it, they will have lost less money than with the ordinary price, plus they can skip spending money on the upgrade.

That's one way of looking at it. The other is, if you want SB Pro PE 2.6 you don't have to wait until its release. You can order the old version instead and then upgrade for essentially the same price. With the CodeMeter stick in your hands, you can download and then play the new version on its release day already instead of waiting for the shipment.

I second Magnum's opinion on Steelbeasts. I held off on purchasing the game for several years and then finally took the plunge. The game is far and away worth every penny I paid for it. Also I found out personally the great support that SSnake and all the guys over at the SB Forum will give you if you need assistance as a newbie. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of the offer, you won't regret it.

What will 2.6 bring to the table? A quick look through their forums doesn't clue me in.

All I can say if you like armour simulations then Steel Beasts Pro PE is your game! The best armour simulation. Worth every cent, penny, yen or eurocent. Go get it now smile

Plenty of mods available too: user made missions, user made textures for new skins, ,user made sounds, new terrains ect ect.

The sim offers excellent training missions and a bunch of missions you can try. Easy to use editor to make missions and to make terrain. You will love it.

Lots of playable main battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles as gunner or commander (or driver). A small but active community for online fun.

Happy tanking!

I play SBpro on a weekly basis...

THe link above shows alot of requests for upgrades. Id be happy just to be able to see who my wingmen are in the 3D world.
This could be done with optionally enabled icons, custom skins, unique tank badging or antenna pennants.
For that one feature, Id pay the upgrade happily.

When I see whats coming in Achtung Panzer, I can see many of the other features Ive requested in the past:

So, I hope this update is more than adding a british tank that I probably wont use much. Many of those I tank with use only the Abrams.
Now where is that M1A2?

wink

Please note that Steel Beasts Pro PE ships with a hardware device (a USB dongle called the CodeMeter Stick) for software protection. An available USB port is required.

NO THANKS

Would you care to elaborate?
Writing in all caps creates the impression that you are offended or something, and I'm not sure what would justify such a reaction.

You short of USB ports or something Swagger?
The Codemeter stick is one of the least offensive forms of DRM I can think of? (apart from none at all of course) biggrin

My Codemeter Stick ate my hamster! I'm never letting another one in the house.

That Farrow bloke you executed today, are you sure he's dead?
Well I chopped his head off, that usually does the trick.
Yes, don't get clever with me Baldrick. I just thought you might have lopped off a leg or something by mistake.
No, the thing I chopped off had a nose.

Well, reading this... it's interesting how some people would rather puncture their eardrums than to just listen to a few facts. But hey, I always knew that no matter what we do, we'd always lose a few sales. Some wouldn't ever buy something with copy protection, others won't buy activation or server based license verification - and if we wouldn't have any protection at all, we'd lose to piracy. So I guess it's the price to pay.

I'm pretty confident though that those who did buy our software can testify that we always tried to treat our customers fairly, and that we usually came to a reasonable solution in those rare cases of dongle loss. smile

My Codemeter stick never leaves the top of my desk, I suppose I could just leave it plugged in the back USB port as I have about 8 going spare.

A dongle for security is an easy sacrifice for a AAA title like Steelbeasts PE.

So after a couple of years of putting this sim on the backburner I have finally ordered a copy last thursday. Thanks to Ssnake and esims for dropping the price down a bit, even if only for a small amount of time...this old 11M is impatiently awaiting this to show up in the mail and get back in a Bradley again, and looking more forward to enjoying this online with other like-minded individuals.

Thanks for your confidence. I am happy to report that there will be a few Bradley improvements in the December upgrade as well, thanks to recent feedback. smile

This old 19D from Mesa enjoys gunning the Bradley every now and then as well. Small world.
