I distinctly remember watching CNN during the night of my 18th birthday and watching the celebrations in Germany after the reunification was official.

I distinctly remember watching CNN during the night of my 18th birthday and watching the celebrations in Germany after the reunification was official. It was definitely a day I never expected to see in my lifetime. I remember sitting there watching it in awe and wondering when the East Germans were going to stop it. It had been a weird month up to that point too with several East Germans initially fleeing to the East to get out of East Germany into West Germany through Czechoslovakia. Wheels
