The X-52 Pro, to be more precise! It's good to know that my own joystick won't become obsolete until at least 2154 AD...

It's the sort of thing you notice when watching a movie on the same computer you use for simming - it's like seeing a double image!

yes but to be "movie accurate" you should simulate bulldozer wink. BTW you can see the X45 in chlonicles of riddick in the controls of the merc's spaceship.

that crappy kurt russell movie "soldier" had a Saitek x36 in it, if i remember correctly - the bad guy is shown hitting the cartoonish giant "LAUNCH" button repeatedly

Actually that movie should be some sort of blade runner sequel.

It's also popular in alternate realities as shown in the movie "Speed Racer" (the shifter to be more precise)

I love threads like these! Spotting sim hardware in movies is a guilty pleasure of mine... Anyone have any more sightings?

Wow! Saitek's infiltration of sci-fi is more widespread that I'd imagined!

There is of course the controls from the G.I. JOE movie. Borrowed from Amazon:

"I won't bow out bravely. I'll be kicking, screaming, fighting. To the end."

"I'm throwing Pit Building against the wall to see what sticks!"

I'm guessing that the reason for this is the X-52's styling. It fits the sci-fi aesthetic they're going for better.

By comparison, the TM, Logitech , and CH offerings all look more utilitarian. (On the other hand, I generally prefer that "it means business" non-gaudy look, even if Hollywood doesn't.)

And human sized robots piloted by tiny people are controlled with Warthogs, as seen in Doctor Who:

Judging by "The Day the Earth Stood Still", the army likes their futuristic looks too, to pilot their UAVs:

[EDIT]...to fire Sidewinders at the robot. Sidewinders? Come on!

HA! That's awesome! They didn't even try to hide it behind a fancy facade, paint it, or even plug it in!

Some of the pilots are even using British made Alpha flight helmets the same as current issue
