Time to blog over at the other thread, there isn't much choice anymore but complain to a higher power (that being AMD).

I've never had issues with RoF until 1.021b. I'm running an Intel i5 2.66ghz overclocked to 3.5ghz, 8gb memory and an ATI 5770 video card. 1.021 ran just fine until this update and now I've got what I assume are stutters while in external padlock view.
I've been looking to update my video card and even though I've had several ATI (now AMD) cards, I'm ready to switch because of this issue.
I would assume upgrading to a nVidia 570 or 580 card would fix the problem???
If this would fix it -- how about all us ATI users (that are financially able) upgrade to nVidia and let AMD know why we dropped their cards!

In no way shape or form am I suggesting that Nvidia owners aren't seeing a FPS drop on their machines. Obviously they are or why would they be talking about it. But for whatever reason, I'm not seeing those drops on my EVGA GTX580. Is it possible that the latest patch affects Nvidia owners more severely if they are running at certain settings? I know I get flashing ground textures when I try to run Shaders on Maximum, but if I back it off to Medium I have zero problems at all and (personally speaking) I don't see that great of a difference to matter to me. So I guess I'm asking if other Nvidia owners have tried backing down certain settings both in RoF itself and on Nvidia Inspector (if they are using that) to see if the huge FPS hit is being cause by the way the patch interacts with one of the specific settings on Nvidia cards as opposed to Nvidia chips period. That might explain why I'm not seeing the hit. Are any other GTX580 owners seeing a FPS loss?
Hellshade
Yes Hellshade, can confirm a pretty hefty FPS loss on a GTX580, and does not run as smooth. Playing back tracks which I have used as benchmarks confirms this. I usually have everything max barring reflections (don't like the IMO overdone bluish hue etc), but I'm going to have to do some tweaking again. Disappointing, as it was running great prior to this hotfix. I have tried reducing NV Inspector settings ( I used 4x Sparse Grid Supersampling prior to the hotfix ) and while reducing it to 2x helps, it is not the same FPS gain I would see normally. Will need more time to have a tinker, I'll try to report back later on any findings.

Runs GREAT on my GTX 560 Ti 1 GIG with most settings maxed. That is weird you took a hit on a 580? I am guessing whatever they did with the 'B' version patch for the AMD cards screwed some nVidia based systems? Hope they work it out soon.
