This is an actual Craiglist ad for my local community:

Dead Raccoon (NNW Charlotte)

Pulled this dead raccoon out of a hole in the ground in our backyard yesterday. It appears to be completely intact, with no visible damage. We could see the haunches and tail and wondered if it died in a fight with a possum or other creature or from snakebite. We wonder perhaps rabies or poisoning ? Anyway, the creature is completely intact, good for skinning and tanning the hide. I don't know how. I'd like to watch you skin this and tan it, but that's not required of you. I really just don't want this to go to waste, as it would make a great hide for a cap or sporran. Only faintly funky smell yesterday. I'm in NNW Charlotte near Harris Blvd. and I-77. Come and get it ! Yes, this posting is for real. If you can explain to us why there is a 15" hole and why a dead raccoon in it, I'd like to know !

This wouldn't be an ad from Sauron, would it?

I might watch but I definately wouldn't want to try it.
Coons are some seriously mean bastards when they're scared and cornered.
Worse than a cat in many ways since they have a lot more mass to work with.

However, if you don't mind I'd like you to describe in intimate detail what you were doing, including what sort of clothes or not you were wearing, either in writing or better by video camera. If you're not sure what you should wear, let me know and I'll provide some suggestions.

Ewwwww.
