I have installed the RS2 and played so far a couple of missions.
Maybe I have done something wrong or have I missed something because:

1.There are some keycommands, that are not working in my installation. For excample Wide cockpit view (F2), Gunsight view ( F3 ). Shoulder view ( F5 ) Shows exterior view.Object view ( F6 ) acts corretly, I presume.

2.I cannot hear the sound of the engine in cockpit (F1).In the Object view ( F6 ) the sounds of the Betty squadron are pretty much audible.
In the mission loading window the engine sounds of the radial engine are great and those sounds I just would like to hear in my cockpit.

To check if the keycommands and my keypad would work together, I installed the FS Gold with patch Oct2008 and played some missions.The Views and the engine sounds of the jet engines were OK.
Then I downloaded Martlet 1 pak from the Combat Ace and installed it and played again a mission. Views worked OK but again there were no engine sounds.

BTW the engine sounds in First Eagles are working fine

Now I would like to have a good helping hand to get me out of this mess.

The Oct 08 version is pretty much foolproof. With all the SF2 changes and patches some things get snafu.

The view commands you may check and change in game.

You have to have the right sound WAV in your SOUNDS folder and perhaps an entry in your Soundlistdataini which is in your Flight folder.

The Marlet is not native to Rising Sun, and probably has a different engine sound. Check the individual aircaft dataini and look for the engine sound name.

I have XP+SP3 so I have FS Gold.
I tried earlier to change the keycommands in the game but did not succeeded. I shall later try again.

I have in my Sound folder A4Engine file 112kt. Also Wright and Wright12?
Should the Sound Wave file be A1Engine like in your and my Aircraft folder? And if so where could I get it?

In the Aircraf folder I have this:

Looks like yours.

If you have only those few engine sounds and one of those is a Jet Engine, then you crossed referenced something or you have an install problem. There should not be any Jet sounds in RS (yet) and you should have somewhere around 88 sound files in the sound folder. You have G4M1 sounds and that a B25 WAV so you have that.

It took a little bit time, but now both RS1 and RS2 are running wery well.
