The only things that bugs me a little is that there's no self-frag damage when you drop bomb too low and slow... frown
Or when you are feet from an exploding fuel tank...

Apart from that... BIG FUN!

huh? there is self damage from bombs, I ended my sorties many times because of it

but you're right that one can fly through a fireball from exploding fueltank without any damage whatsoever

I was really really REALLY sure there was no self damage from bombs.

So I went to prove it.

Here's me setting up, low altitude & lots of big bombs.

And... ehrrr... that blast in the horizon is me being wrong. O.O

apparently CA_Stary, you were right. :P

So, I stand corrected. smile

PS: You guys should have seen my face. XD

LOL I bet that was look to remember

I was experimenting with debrisobject.ini to have blast/debris fragmentation but abandoned that mod due to lack of progress

Oh yes there is... Only some bombs don't seem to cause the damage they should. If you release CBU-24 Cluster bombs under their minimal fragmentation altitude, the clusters will be litterally raining down on top of you, causing no damage.

But trust someone with my bombing "skills", you can blow yourself up pretty easily biggrin

Cheers

those raining clusters are just particle effect, not psychically modelled bomblets

but the CBU area dispersion is fairly well modelled, effect (the 2D sprite "bomblets") not following the real calculated impact pattern

side note -check yourself difference in impacting bomblets explosions pattern when dropping low fast "MK1 eyeball" (A-4C etc.) and from high alt shallow dive CCIP (Baz, Netz, late SLURFs)
