I have just bought the RS2 and SF Gold XP editions.
I have SF1,WoE,WoI and First Eagles so I am not a first time user.

Anyway I cannot get RS2 to functioning.
I installed first the FS Gold to a different hard drive and then the RS2.
I can make the necessary options on the Options screen and then find the first RS mission.
But after taking of from the carrier I get an error message with long list and the Game stops.
Also when starting the takeoff I cannot hear the sound of the engine.

Is the SF Gold patched to Oct2008 or is the patch coming with the RS2 installation ?
Is it possible that my SF 1 can cause the troubes although it is on different hard drive ?

Problems are over.

Uninstalled both RS2 and FS Gold.
Downloaded patch Oct2008 FS Gold.
Installed FS Gold.
Run game.
Installed patch Oct2008.
Run game
Installed RS2.
And happily run the Rise of Sun first mission.

The reason for failures was that I tried to use FS1 patch Oct1008 instead the right one,patcht Oct2008 Gold.
