They are jealous of that "Rather large senior member" of yours. Don't go bragging about it, so much. I'm sure it's someone here at SimHQ. You know these guys.
All kidding aside...that sucks and it would really piss me off. Does it keep happening at the same place?

Where were you parked when this happened? I have found that the closer to the front you park the higher your key chance. Also if you have a nice car and it is parked next to a not very nice car your odds of keying go up.

What does your car look like btw?

Dang thats deep gashing. If you were at a store with a security camera, there's a chance it might have seen them. You'd probably have to prosecute at that point, to get anywhere.

Moses, that is really a shame. Not only because of the damage to your car, but to your peace of mind. They steal more than the cost of repair.

That is one of the hazards of driving something nice, it is a target for the slimeballs. People think that because you have something nice it gives them justification in bringing you down a notch by screwing with it. Vandals.

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

No wonder you were keyed. Try parking at odd angles, but with a dirty, grimy Prius. Nobody'd touch it.

The car rawks. And it probably has bigger balls than whoever keyed it.

Best solution would be to have one of the Transformer guys into your car, that way, when someone comes to vandalize it, it can transform, flick them in the balls, and chuck them two blocks away. Nobody'd believe them too! transformer

Seeing your car, it's probably just triggering somebody. If this person is recognizing your car over and over, he may repeat target you.

Did both keyings occur at the same store? If the store has a security camera, you might talk to the manger. Tell him you've twice been keyed, and wonder if his security cameras can see the parking spot where it happened. I've seen a guy who had a car break in do this, and he got to see the security cameras at Wal-Mart, so he could tell what part of the parking lot they covered.

From then the guy just parks in the coverage area. If something happens again, he knows he's in the camera shot.

It's not you Moses...it's the car.

I have a Stealth, very old, but looks brand new, high polish.
I live in an area full of....well....'locals', who drive....mostly, old pickup trucks.

I've had problems too, but now I park far from the store, alone, next to a camera.
And I don't do it often, some times I leave the wife in the car, or I stay.
I would hate to think how bad it would be in a large city.

People who have crap, don't take care of their possessions, hate people who do.
It just magnifies what is wrong with them, they despise you for who you are.
Nothing personal.

I talked to a guy we had for MDP Auto. Same situation. He told me, 'nobody can have anything nice, everyone screws it up anyway, other people should know that'. That's why he keys nice new cars every time he sees one. He's just showing you that you cannot be better than he is. You make him look like a failure, every time he sees your car. You prove him wrong. So he shows you that you're wrong.

I'm waiting to catch them in the act, and "effect the arrest".
I walk very slowly when coming back to the car...and sometimes go in and out of the store right away.
I take care of what little I have, and won't tolerate anyone destroying my possessions.
That's a felony BTW, over $100 in damages, and grounds for a citizens arrest in this state.
If he resists, and I'm sure he will, you may use the necessary force to effect the arrest.

But be prepared for a law suit... wink
Me, I'm willing to pay for the satisfaction.
Sooner, or later, it'll happen.

Have kids? Maybe someone who don't like your kids is doing it IDK? Probably random vandalism if you've done nothing wrong, we had a group of kids around here slash something like 200 tires over the course of a couple weeks. Was a couple years ago and they were caught because someone had a camera on their garage, turned out one of the kids dads was driving them around to do it. Better yet everyone vandalized was at complete random. I'd love to catch someone in the act of that as much as I'd like to spray paint down some kids throat for doing graffiti!

I've got a bad feeling about this.....

There's six and a half billion people on this planet competing for scarcer and scarcer resources and yet we continue to protect and preserve the worst, most unacceptable specimens.

I would support capital punishment with no appeal for pointless stupidity like this. And I'm not joking or exaggerating. Someone who would needlessly deface another person's property just because they perceived that the other person might be doing a little better than them has no reason to be allowed to live or reproduce.

But the moment they hang them, the bleeding hearts will wail and moan, like we have a shortage of useless scumbags or something.

Sorry to hear this Moses. I hope God catches up with the greasy little punks who have keyed your car and shows them no mercy whatsoever.

Sh*t like this really pisses me off. I hope I never catch anyone in the act. I'd probably wind up receiving the capital punishment.

Pointless, senseless ugliness.

Cheers!

Rick... sigh

Nice ride!

People who key other's cars are oxygen thieves.

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

I love how we all agree that these guys are scum on our boots... pity nobody here can change the laws to inject a healthy dose of "common sense" into the over-PC system.

Don`t you wish we had cars with anti-tampering features like the ones on Robocop. Touch the car and ZAP. Electrocuted.
