Hi All
I can't press active pause at the start of any mission.
I'm playing this on a laptop, it doesn't have a pause button that I can find. So I re-mapped it and it worked for a while. But now It doesn't. I have tried re-mapping, going back to the default, un-installing the whole game. I have patched to the latest version direct from ED website.

Anyone any ideas.

Cheers
Andrew

Active pause, or actual game pause? The difference is that in the normal game pause there's a pause icon at the top right of the screen and nothing moves or operates in the game. In active pause there's an ACTIVE PAUSE label and your aircraft gets frozen in place, but all the avionics still works, other AI units still move/fly around, etc.

It sounds like your pause button isn't mapped - maybe the configuration was lost during your patch process? I would recommend double-checking the pause button mapping in the game controls and set it to something you know works.

[edit - Looks like WC found a good link for ya!]

That was it. I took a break from the sim hoping to come back to it when I had more time. So when I came back and patched it all up to the current version I forgot about the 2 different types of pauses.

Many thanks

Andrew

Yay! And welcome on board, Andrew! I recommend you log onto SimHQ's Teamspeak 3 from time to time, if you can. Not only is it free (!), there are a number of flyers out there that would be willing to fly with and share what they've learned.
