It's not a personal attack at all. You have been constantly told several things that you either forget about or choose to forget about. When it happens once, I'd say it's forgetfulness, when it's happened over 10 times on several issues, the only logical conclusion I can come up with for your constant forgetfulness is dementia. It's an educated guess for why you don't absorb information that you could easily check out for yourself, especially when said information has been spoon fed to you.

And I'm not in any way, shape, or form part of the development team nor am I authorized to speak for them. (again this is another thing I've already told you before) But if you care to go to the Russian forums (for the 10th time now) you can watch the development team speak for themselves on a daily basis.

Well, ok, ok I accept you as an authority figure, fine then! Nevertheless, if I may be so bold, are you at liberty to reveal the COD team's explanation as to why they still use 10 year old AI routines and could you please ask them when Spitfires will be able to reach their historical altitude ceilings from ground start. Thanks in advance! biggrin

Tell,

You've already been told the answer to that about 30 times now. You're seriously beyond help.

Any inklings on when the SimHQ Clod review might drop?

(already a bargain basement game over here, dont really want to wait until it could be the same situation over there?)

Dart is working on it.
I have the part from TC ready.
I'll format it soon as it arrives.

I think SimHQ is in a tough place.

they rely on the goodwill of the likes of ubisoft - yet CLOD is so bad that to review it in its current state would possibly cause damage to that goodwill - and not SimHQ's fault.

i would rather see SimHQ wait until it is functional, than to do a fluff review to keep ubi happy while at the same time misleading the consumer. integrity is everything.

What WW2 Fighter pilots say about Angels and Airspeed:

"Nice job of getting down to the basics - love your choice of a cover!" Col. Clarence 'Bud' Anderson

"I have enjoyed reading angels and airspeed, it should prove good reading for all interested in combat tactics and their application related to the fluid air environment and state of technology in WWII years. All the best as you make it available." - Col. Charles McGee - Tuskegee Airman

NEVER ENGAGE STUPID.

Good grief.. reading

You are entitled to your opinion, but I think you are crazy to go down the conspiracy theory route on this one.

What on earth do you think Ubisoft do for SimHQ and vica versa? Is this just a general corruption allegation/smear or do you have specifics?

Dart and Tom are reviewing the game, they paid for their copies, they aren't waiting for patches and have already said that the review will be published here when it's ready.

At this point there is nothing new to review.

But there hasn't been a SimHQ review for Cliffs of Dover at all, so surely there is something to review, at least from the stated aim of using the US release? Did I miss a review? smile

My guess is that there are few fence sitters left to be influenced by a review of the current COD version. Certainly the upcoming patch needs to be evaluated if you are feeling compelled to review COD. TBH without a Q&A with the developers a review isn't going to provide any sense of direction relative to the team's long term goals for development of COD.

That would be pretty neat. A review of CloD as it stands now, and an interview with the developers outlining what their plans for the future are.

as long as the games been out, it's past the point where a review even matters anymore. There was absolutely no reason to wait for the US release as gaming is worldwide and anyone that wanted it could have had it a long time ago. SimHQ really dropped the ball on doing an interview for the game. We can speculate all day as to why. My personal feeling is that it has a bit to do with this being a niche site for a niche genre and not wanting to step on any developer toes with a review that would have had to have been quite negative. I figure the longer they wait the better the game will be and the review won't have to be so negative and still retain some scrap of journalistic integrity as in it's current or launch condition any review score over a 5 or 6 is just bordering on someone playing the game with rose colored glasses. There's politics in everything, even small games and sites like this and you can't tell me there aren't some political reasons that are influencing why there hasn't been a review. SimHQ has a good relationship i think with alot of sim developers and having to step on those toes isn't good for anyone.

Frankly you'd think the CLOD team would be well aware of the state their game is in and what review score it warrants. But maybe not. That goofy kid singing chocolate rain and that stupid girl with the friday song both thought they had put out masterpieces so maybe the case is the same here.

A review at this point is kinda pointless, i'd be more interested in hearing where the game is going and at what pace. Even most major gaming sites aren't bothering with this game like it's a bargain budget valusoft title not worth reviewing. Gamespot and pc gamer are the only major sites that have even touched it with a review as far as i know.
