About the rank selection... Currently the ranks are locked only for your first Career. As you advance this Career and get promotions, you unlock ranks for every other Campaign as well... Anyway, I wish to see Aces and historical mission altitudes incorporated.

Definitely an Aces feature, a must have. Give it time. Part of the issue of flight leader breaking from task is (I suspect) that the AI is chasing hostile aircraft apparently beyond visual range (or at least for player). ALSO there are waaaay too many observation balloons to distract AI flight leaders, those sausages weren't as common as they currently appear in beta career. Nor were they as thick skinned/armored as they currently are, they cause ricochet! Tighten up the 'ambient' AAA/archie along the front, and white bursts for entente, black for central. Currently archie is too inaccurate to use as an indicator of where other aircraft may be found. Just a few observations from the

I'd like an option for historical mission altitudes, maybe historical altitude with airstarts to save time?
It needs to be an option as everyone wont want it.

I seems that the beta will be tweaked and improved in the next patch , or that's my guess.
Here's my hope list
-Selectable rank. (Then I can choose artillery spotting and photo missions . Then I can set the altitudes)
-Squad leader stays on task more (easy to fix I guess)
-Option for air start , but air start further out from the action point than in the old career - like about 2km. This enhances realism for me because with air start I don't use auto pilot or time compression, except a little TC flying home afterwards.
- please share your own, career mode only fixes, and please be positive - the guys work hard on this stuff.
Aces - that you can meet and defeat in the air and for the campaign to move towards Patrick's campaign. Not necessarily having that amount of planes in the sky, but PC just seems much more unpredictable to me and you can't just go around busting balloons, as they've always got a patrol assigned to them, as they should do.

AI squadronmates that have pictures and have their records (kills, medals, etc...) show so you can look at them. I ma not sure if they can program each AI pilot with "personalities" where some are more aggressive than others while others are better shots...some could be better fliers but poor shots or rarely even both good flier and marksman. I still think RB3D's AI pilots where more developed when it first came out than what RoF AI pilots are now.
I would also like to fly with aces but I'd also like to have the ability to in the career first start on whether AI aces die on their historical date or could live past their historical death date.
The road less traveled is filled with fewer needy people.

AI - If Boelcke's Dicta can be coded into the AI's that would be awesome! I have yet to see any flight sim advertise this as an option so if 777 did this, it could be the first!
I love this idea! It would be great to have it as an option. I need as much realism as i can get in a sim or I get bored very quickly. As is, the enemy AI is simply not a challenge and is the main reason I no longer play RoF. When I see an enemy scout I want to get that "Oh S#@t!" feeling that I could actually get shot down if I fight these guys. Sadly, that's not the case for me.

A wider selection of airfields to start a career from at any given time.

A wider selection of airfields to start a career from at any given time. That obviously takes a lot of time to implement. More playable squadrons are coming.

- More accurate ranks system with Major (RFC) and Hauptmann as the rank of the squadron leader - Slower promotions and medals - Fewer missions in rain/low overcast conditions - Randomised starting stats of AI squadmates
Undercarriage lever a bit sticky was it, Sir?
