Boy, does Cliffs of Dover ever remind me of Silent Hunter 5. Fanboy blinders too. SH5 had a lot of potential as well, but was released buggy and unfinished. Ubi only patched it once before punting it to the community. I hope this gets the multiple patches it will need to be a decent sim.

Topic reminder: 'How Cliffs of Dover could become great?'

1. As Phazon pertinently pointed out, a sound engine reboot would be good.

2. I think some modding on the landscape textures would be good (as has been seen already on tree mods etc).

3. A semi-pro single player set of missions that have a lot of tender loving care spent on them would be a hit.
