2.55 am , man am i in for some trouble when i sneak into bed biggrin

Ok before and after so far ..

On the original map none of the airfield circles are there , bottom middle and left of the last hangar on the left. On the top pic i could not delete them or the dirt road network i made ,middle top of pic.

Anyway its coming along pretty cool so far, besides our lack of buildings.

This pic is 1937.

And this was my interpretation of it (above) but working from the angle below..

I have been using that one mainly and only just came across the 37 pic which shows some different buildings and seems to be missing a whole bunch of others.Maybe its just angles and lighting with some of them and maybe the pic i have been working off is mid war or later?

Still need to find out if the Hawkinge circle that was on the actual field was deleted during the war years.Seems it may have been too easy for Jerry if it was left there.

Great work Ajay,

Hawkinge was bombed quite a bit during BoB. I think this pic:

is showing hangars that have been bombed and cleared. So it might be accurate for BoB later in the battle. I have no idea if the circles were present during BoB, but they can certainly be seen in photos taken after the war. If I was the BoB station commander I would have got rid of them if it were up to me!

Looking good Ajay - you're a building demon!

Looking good Ajay. All the Airfield ID circles were removed (Well the White bits) before the war started though their outlines were still visible and some still detectable today.
