Whoa, it is with great surprise that I just found out that the former pig sty now seems to be on the way to becoming a model farm! - I guess that is an occasion for giving this forum one more chance... - I really hope it will be moderated according to the HIGHLY needed new forum guidelines. That is all-important, as I see it. The forum guidelines talk about a sub-forum, but where is it? Anyway, without further ado, a video I posted some days ago on other forums... - Night-time action! (Click image for vid) Trying something new (for me) here: night flying. Before you watch the movie, I have to tell you that it won't work at all if you sit in a well-lit room. This movie is very dark and can really only be seen in a darkened room. Anyway, going up at night really changes the whole game. Depth perception goes out the window, as well as situational awareness, and is replaced by a pretty scary feeling of being out of one's depth! - Fleeting shadows and silhouettes could be anything, friend or enemy... It is really quite spooky. I'm full of admiration for those who went up at night in real life. Must have been horrific. Enjoy this one, and as always, comments very welcome! ---------- Here are my previous CoD movies: http://www.youtube.com/user/wwwDOTdalsgaardDOTeu#g/c/981CBC682E928D2A(Click images for vids)

It should be listed under the main forum, i.e here: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/forums/267/1/IL_2_Sturmovik_Cliffs_of_Dover.htmlThere have been issues of access reported, and if you have those it's worth a PM to guod. I personally don't want the sub-forum as a dumping ground but a place to discuss the things it lists, i.e. more speculative stuff that allows this one to keep tighter and on topic. For example, the 'Anyway, without further ado' was a good way to start the first post, otherwise it'll get moved or edited to preserve moderators sanity

Great work here gents and as I said at the banana-rama place, Frey, nice video mate: you do bring out the best of this sim. Out of interest, Frey, would you ever try any of the mods? (more specifically, the tracer mod?) as I'd love to see a video of that. Also, can you dim the brightness of the reflector gunsight?

Hey Frey, were do you get your missions from? Cool video man I make them in the FMB! Blood, sweat and tears, since we don't have a manual... - I can try to upload it if you want... (But it is a bit raw, no fancy briefings, etc.)

It is of course possible on the fancy German fighters... - Think Robin Reliant vs. Mercedes I don't feel like venturing into Mod territory. Haven't tried the betas either... - Just don't feel the need, so far, and don't want to mess too much with my install.

For the "black-out" in your vid. Ah, ok, you asked in the banana forum, didn't know it was you. I haven't heard anything about it, but would love to know!

is the FMB much like the IL2 one?
I enjoyed making missions and COOPs for online way back in the day.

Yes, it is very similar indeed. You can do whatever you could in Il-2 Classic, but THEN it seems there is a whole universe of opportunities hidden inside as well, scripts, triggers and all sorts of exciting things, which are, however, completely incomprehensible to me. And, maddingly, there's no manual for it. But it seems you can basically program whatever you want in C++ or some such programming language. The community will have to rally and investigate the depth of the FMB, and the process is hopefully starting. Our intrepid forum member Ajay is putting up a site with explanations of various things: searchlights among others. It took me a while, but with the help of others I finally found out how to set up searchlights. Easy enough when you know, but until then... - Anyway, I think they look great
