Amazing! give me a motivation to re-install... but TK should really enter the 21th century graphic engine's club (DoF, haze, pixels shaders, global lighting... etc....), with FSX, WOP, COD and A10... this engine looks more and more dated.

Nice shots. Kinda like this sim even though it may be a little dated, it still looks decent IMO.

Well, there's just so much 1 man can do. That said, he's introduced stuff that took other sims a lot longer. He had self-shadowing cockpits before most of the competition, for example, and that makes a big difference in immersion.

To put it another way, offer another developer the chance to make the same game with 3x TK's budget and you'll probably get a "can't be done" in return. His stuff looks lower budget, but it looks a LOT better than it should given how low the budget really is!

The big problem I see is that he consumed a lot of time to design a graphic engine, but today, there is a lot of cheap but very powerful graphic engines available on the market, you really can focus on the content and physics than just the painful A to Z creation of the engine itself.

Those engines are generally not suited for flightsims, optimized for more popular genres as 3D shooters.

Look at Combat Helo. They're using a non-flight sim engine and while it looks like it will work for them, in a helo sim, the larger scale required by a prop/jet sim won't allow that.
No one really offers a sim engine that others can use. Closest was the Il-2 engine as reused in Theater of War and Birds/Wings of Prey, but that won't fit TK's needs.
