Hello,

I saw the message on the "FLEX'S TWITTER" about this great terrain editor :

http://www.quadsoftware.com/index.php?m=section&sec=product&subsec=editor

As usual, the bad question from a moody french fan, :P
this migration is for your current project or "Combat-Helo: Operation Pegasus", perhaps ?

I beg your pardon for my poor english, have a good day.

There's a need to increase the ground detail and map scales for scenarios that require it. The projects in mind will come after Combat-Helo:Operation Pegasus. The Apache was designed as a force multiplier for a conflict that never happened. It would be interesting to explore the full lethality in a broad theatre. *cough*Fulda Gap*cough*

Operation Pegasus is the player Chinook expansion/game we are planning for Combat-Helo that adds the new helicopter and co-op mission opportunities to Combat-Helo's Herat theatre along with a possible African map (still to be decided).

After this we want to be ready to try out a more scalable terrain engine.

WOW, could you care to develop that part? Could this mean that we will have something like Operation Palliser and Operation Barras or something along those lines?

For those that don't know what these operations were, they were real operation by British Forces in Sierra Leone and in those operations the British used helicopters extensivelly (mainly Chinooks and Lynxs).

It would be cool to see and have something diferent in a Helo combat sim such as playing with/for the British forces (I'm bit tired of always playing as American in simulations/games, to be honest) and an African setting/scenario which is something that I don't remember to have seen in any combat flight sim!

My apologies for my belated post.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I just hope that the "Expected release, mid 2011" will not change a lot. thumbsup

Best regard.

Hopefully that will change (or you will get to the bottom of whatever is troubling) smile

Not to belittle (more of a commiseration from a fellow trench-dweller) - I'd exchange a bad day for my bad year anytime wink

Martin...

Can't argue with that.

I'm just a french "postman", old and moody,
and i don't like what i read here :

http://combathelo.blogspot.com/2011/07/screen-shot-of-day.html#comments

A good and constructive relationship is based on a mutual respect,
i'm not sure that a brutal management and a planning without the assent of the dev are the solution.

Just my 2 cents.

Well, I believe that Banita is only jocking. At least I hope he is, even because he has been a very supportive member of this project...

Err, I didn't mean to say or imply that you're part of the CH team. What I mean is that you're a member of SimHQ that like me and many others supports (likes, is perhaps a better word) this project! BTW, English is not my first language either...
