I mean,, me have seen a long time advertisement for Storm of War: Battle of Britain... And the screen shots for it have been looking very promising. Now I have recently purchased it.. and I have not been very happy with it. Actually I have played it several times and I left it for what it was. The start was not what it was supposed to be with for me a big show stopper Steam But other than that the many bugs where not that favorable either. It just didn´t feel well to me. And actually it totally doesn´t meet the expectancy I had of the game. So can anyone tell me if there is actually a second game on this topic in development. Because I have gotten the feeling that this is a B class substitute to some development still going on. I surely hope so! Because this was the game I have been waiting for, for many years. And now here it finally is... and now it is a big disappointment to me

Your wrong!!!
Lol the devil made me do it! You aren't alone, I think we all built this game up in our minds to be a lot more than what was delivered! All is not well with the game, but it is definately improving and will with luck and continued effort from the devs eventually be what we all hoped for. Luckily life will go on and does not depend on this game, I can wait a while for it to come good.

Of course our life won't depend on this game. But for many of use there simply aren't much games to our likings. I am not someone that can enjoy some fantasy demon killing game. I am a person that likes simulations. I like Armed Assault, I like Silent Hunter... 2, 3 and 4. But 5 wasn't really it for me. I loved IL2 vanilla, I loved IL2 FB, I loved IL2 46,.... I have spend many hours with this game. I absolutely loved Panzer Commander... Yes long time a go Still miss this game. But it won't run since Windows XP... Now I haven't spend many hours IL2 COD... I simply cannot really enjoy it the way I did IL2 < COD. The fact is that we simply do not have a buckload of games to play. At least the type of person that I tend to be. And that is not just me (* I guess :p *)

I am much the same mate, the harddrive on my new pc has CoD, Arma II CO, plus mods, RoF, WW2OL, r-factor, and soon to get DCS A-10. Not a mindless shooter to be seen, and still more than enough to pass the time until CLOD is sorted. I could not bring myself to re install the whole il-2 series, patch and mod again Craig

Have you ever tried Panzer Elite? http://www.tanksim.com/reviews/panz_elite.htm This will run on window xp and it is even better. Excellent game play and outstanding ai There is also a mod community that have improved it even further with new missions and a lot more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP0wZcLPsFg forgive the "das boat" music. It isn't in the game thank god. If you buy and play this game I guarantee it will go a long way in making you feel much better. Amazon panzer elite shopping site

I have been hearing a bit lately about Iron Front which will be an independent release using the ARMA II engine with a lot of tweaks. With luck the Armoured side of the game will deliver the goods, we could finally have a modern tank sim!

They ridiculed you because you were carrying on like a prize teat who was just spoiling for trouble! These days when you post people have already decided that you are up to no good just going on past history. You made your bed now you must lie in it! Now back to WoP with you like a good little nuggsy Craig

Those threads are coming, those people are coming. But they were telling nuggetx was wrong, they ridiculed nugget...... But it's all as i have said.
Get a grip on reality. Nuggetx was a purveyor of doom. Nuggetx prognosticated failure for CoD. Nuggetx had to be shunned by the hardcore CoD elite. Nuggetx said "Get a grip on reality" while referring to himself in the third person. So far however, that is the only double standard Nuggetx has shown.

Being correct doesn't mean all that much. Who's going to listen to the naked screaming man running on the White House lawn about an alien invasion? Sure, it happens, and the naked screaming man starts squealing "I told you so!!!", but no one cares. Because it was a naked screaming man.

That is a fine analogy, very well put!
