Hi Tbag, the Emblem looks like it's II/JG54 which later became I/JG76 so there a start. I would hazard a guess that it was flown by Gen Dietrich Hraback but that's purely based on looking at his later F2 paint scheme. Tease the Cheese, links coming

Great work Shado! I just came across this image and wondered if anybody has more information about this paintsheme: Stab II./JG 54 but probably handed down to a Ergänzungsgruppe since Stab II./JG 54 is not known to have carried out Jabo missions and the small 5 doesn't match the marking practice of the Gruppenstab (photo was probably made in 1941). Modified 1940 standard camouflage with high demarcation line, mottling on the sides carried out with RLM 70 or 71 (criss-cross lines) and RLM 02 (splotches) over RLM 65. In fact it's pretty much the standard camo for II./JG 54 until late 1941 and particular to this Gruppe only.

Hi Tbag, the Emblem looks like it's II/JG54 which later became I/JG76 so there a start. Actually it's the other way round. I./JG 76 was renamed II./JG 54 on July 4 1940.

Right here you go Cheese enjoy http://www.mediafire.com/?7xp6vdy84dzx5a8Ok this is Non BOB, will follow up with a Battle of Britain Scheme Avro Anson A4-32 of 6 Squadron RAAF left Richmond airfield at 12:40 pm on Friday 28 April 1939 on a flight that was expected to last less than 3 hours. This was part of an Air Navigation course they were being trained in. The particular exercise for this flight was a wind finding direction course over the sea. The weather was clear and fine and weather conditions in no way contributed to the crash which ultimately happened. After leaving Richmond Airfield the Avro Anson was flown out to sea in the vicinity of Smith Head, Sydney. The crew maintained constant radio communication with the airfield and the flight proceeded without incident until approximately 3:30pm. At 3:27pm a radio message was received from the aircraft to the effect that the aerial was being reeled in preparatory to landing. At that time the aircraft was within a few miles of the airfield and within a few minutes of landing. This was the last message received from the aircraft. At 3:30pm Avro Anson A4-32 crashed into the ground. There were several eye witnesses. It would appear the aircraft was flying in normal level flight at about 1,000 feet when eye witnesses heard some spluttering from the engines along with the noises of backfiring and puffs of smoke were seen coming from the aircraft. The nose of the Avro Anson dropped to an angle of 30 degrees and it started to lose height. Eye witnesses then indicated they could hardly hear the noise of the engines but they then made a sudden roaring noise and the nose pulled up again.. But then it went into a steeper dive and crashed directly into the ground with its engines roaring. The following four crew members of Avro Anson A4-32 were killed instantly:- Pilot Officer Maxwell Leonard Hickson (Navigator) Pilot Officer Lloyd George Harness (Pilot) Aircraftman Raymond Duncan Knight (Wireless Operator) Aircraftman Harrie Clarke (Fitter Armourer)

Okay. The new pics of the 109 tell me more. Contrary to the small text next to the profile it's not Russia and it's not 1942. It's 1941 and it's the operation against Yugoslavia. You can see that because of the crudely applied yellow ID markings on the cowling. Secondly it is a known fact that JG 54 handed over its remaining Emils (apart from the Ergänzungsgruppe) to JG 77 and moved to Stolp-Reitz in Pommerania on May 3 or 4 1941 (apart from I. Gruppe which spent a month on airfields in Mecklenburg).
