Ah, sarcasm - you keep working at it, little fella! Practice, practice.... smile

I must admit I'm having a slight chuckle - does that count smile

You know that thing where you see the fat kid with the chubby cheeks getting all enraged, and you want to get those cheeks between thumb and forefinger and give them a playful waggle? smile

If I could, I would do that to you ...:)

And yes, I'm chuckling as I type this. I can't possibly take you seriosuly, or get in the least bit riled.

There's no substance to get to grips with, just schoolyard yelling.

Did you spend a lot of money on a server? Do you get a slight anticipatory shiver of pleasure at the words 'server farm'? Does it make you feel powerful? You know, all that cpu power humming away to itself...:)

Paragraph, it's paragraph....

....'spot on', or just 'spotty'?

I'm guessing late teens, early 20s? Big plasma in the bedroom sort of thing? Chrome and black leather chairs? Bad beer...?

You 'so own your friends' kind of thing? (bear with me, I'm homing in on the language... smile

Just thinking, maybe I should spend a week or two getting my flower corvette test model finished and donate it to C1...

It will need a bit of fixing though as its Based on Agassiz of the Canadian Navy (Square stern and bandstand over the back half of the engine room) + i could throw the mine sweeping gear overboard smile

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the perspective, Thor.

stop skimming Snapper neaner wink

And Frey , first thing i though of was , well we are going to have to make that Jerry ship fight for the other side then, still , just one actual Royal Navy ship would have been obvious from day one of making the sim i would have thought.

"Hmmmm well boys how do we break this down ..the Battle of Britain, let's see..Phase One:Shipping attacks in the channel, let's start there hey chaps".
Modeller puts hand up"..well we are going to need some shipping then , probably some merchys and maybe at least one type of destroyer , corvette ..you know something that can put some AA up".
"Good thinking!Ships..of course! wellllll..how about a Jerry minelayer then?"...
Modeller "...uh ..wait up, what?"

That's a nice looking model Bronco. Be careful though, I noticed on the COD product forum that a couple of the Rain Men have started moaning about port-hole height already. You're going to have to defend yourself that the ships aren't all grey soon too smile

Are you sure? 'Minensuchboot' means minesweeper (mine searching boat), unless the terminology is correct but I would have called it a Minenleger (mine layer).

So heart warming to be recognized even here...

Anyway, here is the ship in question with a short history.

http://www.german-navy.de/kriegsmarine/ships/minehunter/mboot35/index.html

They were called Channel destroyers by the British and there were about 25 of them around during the BoB. So they are a valid ship type to be introduced.

So that is the correct terminology, Biggles is right then. I guess a minesweeper laying mines is less likely to run into it's own traps. biggrin It looks like laying mines was a side project for this craft and it wasn't constructed for this purpose.
