Have you considered going to a Star Wars forum to complain there?
No, but I have considered posting here to possibly save consumers money (at least until several years later and 23 more patches). Wow, how generous of you, can you PM me when that magic 23rd patch comes out, by the way what was wrong with patch 22?

I just like flight sims that 'work' and accurately model real combat flight physics. I get the 'that work' part because of the bugs but the core combat flight physics of COD kick 1946 in the proverbial. The settings for some aircraft might need some tweaking here or there but the core system is great. As I've said a few times in the Banana forums I can't go back to '46 it's too toy-like after playing COD. I do yearn for more aircraft using this game engine, I'd love a P-38 an FW-190 and a P-47 modelled in COD. When I get withdrawal from these types I fire up '46 but turn it off soon afterwards as it somehow has lost it's appeal for me. Also as Freycinet stated 1946 is a ton of add-ons and patches put on top of Forgotten Battles which was a sequel to IL2. So you really can't compare them. Remember '46 is really called FB+AEP+PF+1946 (Forgotten Battles, Ace Expansion Pack, Pacific Fighters, 1946) and that's on top of the original IL2 so we have a looooong way to go (that's if we ever get there).

Well gents, trust me that if CloD does improve over the next year or so, I will be the first person hopping into online dogfights and trying new CEM skills out. Far from a 'hater', I am actually a 'hoper'. Hoping that CloD does turn out to be great and that is eventually surpasses IL2. It isnt close so far IMHO, but time will tell.
If you can defeat me in a fair same altitude duel, you are either Hartmann's ghost or you have a ganja problem that needs treatment.

If you want to continue playing il2 due to its large contents fair enough but in a few years cod will have a much larger contents than it currently has. But to compare it to the latest star wars film is just ridicules, a pity that my first post here is to defend a game, from a one hit wonder developer, against a bunch of cry babies. In my eyes this forum was the pinnacle of forums but of late its been full of angry short sighted fan boys... how very sad Fixed for accuracy.

Did you know 'Jedi' was marked as the fourth most popular religion on the last UK census (about 400,000 people)?Yes, as a Nation we are fond of taking the piss out of our Governments, as we generally hold them in such contempt and low esteem. On the last Census form a few months back I listed my occupation as 'International Man Of Mystery, Bongo Drums Instructor and Purveyor of Fine Elderberry Jams'. What are they going to do about it? They can't prove otherwise lol. They want to know what you had for breakfast and they can f*ck right off because its none of their business. British people have a low BS threshold and we won't have it. Amen.

Yes, it seems to be the universal marker of 'piss off census takers, none of your business!' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jedi_census_phenomenonI'd like to propose we set up a COD based religion. We have most of the essentials: - High Priests, guiding us towards salvation one day through hard work, faith and suffering. - The Promised Land (over 25,000ft) of a FM that works. - Tablets of Stone delivered by Steam every other Friday. - Scripture, i.e: In the 'Book of FearlessFrog (SimHQ Dead Forum Scrolls)' it was written 'And hark, my brethren, go unto the unbelievers and smite them before you (I). Cast out those false Wings of Prey, those Flights of Rising, vanquish the unbelievers who will not reach the ArchAngel Luthier's promised patch (II).

Hahahaha, good stuff Frog....Mine eyes hath seen the Glory, I'm a Convert! But first I have to renounce my Census Listed faith of 'Shinto Anglican Separatist' . Get this though, the funniest thing is due to all the 'PC' crap they actually have to take what you write seriously , the daft bastards . Probably for fear of upsetting and alienating 'Shinto Anglican Separatist' minorities. Census time is a time of 'Many Lulz', and long may it continue. If they are stupid enough to pathetically and surreptitiously attempt to 'Stealth Profile' people, then they shouldn't be too surprised when the result is righteous ridicule. Amen Brother Frog. Amen.

So by my calculations that would be:

Something the CoD bashers in here just don't get and never will: "For developers there is nothing better than to see that their efforts bring a new set of emotions to a user. And of course, it is a pleasure that you return positive emotions to us. This cycle creates a very positive working atmosphere for our team. The results of such a good working environment you can see right now." ...By the RoF team: http://riseofflight.com/Blogs/post/2011/06/17/Pre-Order-Bristol-Fighter.aspx#comment
