Finally got some work done on the fusalage. Back wall completed. Side ribs made and being painted as I type (well nearly...). The two holes beside the pilot's head have the rear speakers for the 5.1 surrouond. Also stuck a fake circuit breaker box and laser resonator (whatever that is - just made it up) on 'cause the wall looked very empty. Will run a few pipes around as well. Once the side ribs are painted they'll be skinned with ply same as the back. Cheers, Andy

Hi Guys, Thanks for the comments. Here's a picture of the front at present. All switches, indicators and MDFs work in conjunction with SIOC and EECH. Eventually the whole thing will be enclosed with a door on the side (right side console hinges back for easy ingress). Front will have a screen with back projection of external view from EECH. I'm actually building it in my loft. That's my room in the house. You think there's a lot of gear in here, you should see my workshop ....... Andy

Looks great Andy. Is great seeing something come together, that you have planned out yourself.

Lol Andy, could almost imagine you pulling levers and yelling "Thunderbirds Are Go" and the wife downstairs shaking her head and saying "Oh no here we go again"
Btw standing here typing this, beside a big oil painting, and waiting to go the Thunderbird 1 lol

Speaking of theres a name I've not seen around the this forum for a while (unless I'm wrong)..... Yeah Hitch, as a matter of fact, I do love the stuff Andy's been doing. But then again he and I keep in touch (outside of the forum) about our builds, so I always have a close and eager eye on what he's doing! Besides, his and mine are the only 2 Comanche pits I know of, so it's probably in our best interest to stick together. As for my lack of posts, all I can say is that while progress on putting the sim back together is slow to stalled (so there aren't many new pics), I am always lurking about and I do weigh in...... occasionally.

Finding them isn't the hard part.... Guardian, Mason, Otto, etc. The hard part is affording it! Last time I price checked a real grip, it was about $15,000 USD (And that was without the guts!!!)
