Well I cant speak for others but I'm not playing CoD - haven't playing it for a while - got bored waiting for it to turn into a decent game! Been playing RoF recently in anticipation of the new career, and more recently MS Flightsim X which is always worth going back to - never get bored with the missions in that game and the scenery never ceases to impress.

For me it's the prop pitch on the 109 that stopped me playing online, and it appears that online is now dead thanks to the patch and the hotfix. Prior to those releases you could actually have some fun and play online now it's a ghost town. Hopefully the new release will breathe some life back into the servers!

I pretty much have shelved CoD for the time being, rather playing DCS:A-10c, Rise of Flight, FSX or Yankee Air Pirate.

i'm still lurking and enjoying the game, even with the issues i have been having fun on the SYN server, bout 130hrs now from memory!
The problem with the World is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Your post prompted me to check the number of hours I had logged with CoD. 75. I've no idea how this figure is calculated but it's ludicrously high. There's no way i've spent anything like 75 hours playing CoD. Indeed, apart from a few speculative online sorties over a month ago my entire CoD relationship has been one of patching it then spending no more than 5 minutes playing it. Whence this 75 hours claptrap? I can only imagine it's due to some optimistic rounding up function of Steam's stats program or something.

Steam gathers those stats by emailing your wife a survey of 'how long does he play those games in there?' Either that or if you've ever had any crashes (let's suspend belief and pretend that CoD has a bug or two) then it messes with the API counter too. I think by default it adds an hour by just starting it up if it never finishes cleanly.

Remember Steam tracks it from the moment you enter the game to the moment you exit. If you don't spend all that time in the cockpit, or you're constantly fiddling with settings trying to improve performance, you're still tracking. Do the pilot stats include hours flown or just kills/deaths?
