Thanks a lot for indulging me with pics guys, much appreciated...

BeachAV8R - that Remington Marine Magnum is a really sweet shotgun! Remind me never to trespass on your property!

Paul Morrison - I thought that the Robinson Arms XCR was like a state-of-the-art military M4 Carbine competitor. How the heck did you get one? I guess yours is a civilian version? How are the civilian versions different from the military version?

Skater - I saw the pics of your Mk 18 SBR, very nice! I guess it's not technically a Mk 18 though, right, as that is a purely military weapon? I guess yours is more like a Mk 18-style or Mk 18-type weapon?

vault_dweller - like Paul's XCR, I thought that the Bushmaster ACR was a modern military competitor for replacing the M4. How did you get one? I guess yours is again a civilian version? How are the civilian versions different from the military version?

Thanks again guys, you have some very nice weapons there *jealous* and any answers to my above queries would be much obliged.

Biggles07, thanks for reminding me of that. Funny how everyone was ignoring the would-be robbers until the old lady waded in and shamed everyone else into coming to help!

Flyboy, no, not a real Mk 18, but I call it that since it is identical in every way other than a Mk 18 NSN number. I even have the same anti-corrosion coating.

Yep, it's a civilian version, the only difference I know of is that it doesn't have a full automatic setting. It can shoot NATO 5.56mm as well as .223. My M4 is the same way, pictured below with my XDM-9, and my Hibben Highlander. The girlfriend says this is her kit when the zombies come.

With a proper license and a large pile of cash, you can own fully automatic weapons in the US...sadly, I have neither.

Hopefully I'll be posting something on my new toys that are getting their NFA registrations right now. Long 4 month process.

I bought it from the Canadian distributor. It is the civilian version, it has no fun button.

I would take my Savage 22-250 SS. Head shots at 500 yards would work at least until the barrel heats up. Coyotes go way around my place at least for now. Zombies would too.

I am pretty sure the XCR has been out for years before it entered any US military competitions.

No, it was built for the competition. The prior robinson firearm was the M96 expeditionary.

I just saw the M26 MASS being demo'ed at the Jones Beach Air Show by the US Army... I change my mind. I want one of those!
