Happy to be part of the club. cheers

Just bought it from the Flightsim shop for $29.95. Saw prices almost twice as high at other places so I figure I got a good deal.

No real point to this post other than to say I am really looking forward to getting into this sim. I loved the demo and I'm sure the game has many nice surprises in store for me. And as an enthusiastic student of WWI history, the sim can only add colour to my reading.

A question: is there a place to download user-built missions? Also, if there is an update, will the sim update itself as soon as I log in?

Edit: I'm looking to buy another plane; what is the best ground-pounder available? Bombs, heavier machine guns, etc. Thanks.

Welcome to the War old bean!!!

Your gonna love it I promise, and a great time to join with the new update just around the corner.

As for ground pounders, well the ulitmate would be either th Handley Page 400 or the Gotha bomber. But dont forget the DFW too. Shortly you will be able to purchase the Breuget 14 too, its a magnificent bird.

Let us know how you get on and if you have any questions.

Hiya and welcome!

If you want a groundpounder, my advice is to wait for the Breguet. You won't find many single player missions to download I believe, but some of the scenario missions that come with the game are very good.

I am finding the Breguet to be a lot of fun to fly in beta testing. I think it's going to prove very popular.

Looks like the Breguet is going to be a popular plane. Maybe I'll jump on. Any idea on a release date?

Having fun with this, that's for sure. thumbsup

By the way, I'm looking for a good "Kaboom!" A "Bang!" would be great, too. Where is the best place to find as many big fat explosions as possible. I need some serious fireworks. Anything in particular - other than myself repeatedly hitting the ground - deliver up some good smoke and fire?

Come into multiplayer, oceanic wing server then try to attack the rear airbase down low and you'll see some fireworks that's for sure smile

Another thing to note is that most of the British and French aircraft can carry a bomb load.
