I message to my technician that I need my flight-console (see home sim setup to see a pic of it) back in anticipation of the new game, just to find that its not delayed, not ONE, but TWO freakin months!

I thought this game was coming out tomorrow, let alone back in March! Two more months!?

Since it was announced to its *new* date, it should be over 5 years of development and it doesn't even utilize the DX11 card I bought for it, it utilized DX10 graphix (not that graphix makes or breaks a game but it can't hurt).

Im just shocked, they delayed it 2 months last time, this makes me think that its not coming out til August, if not, 2012. OMG this has put a damper in my home-gaming plans. I decided not to flight sim til the new game comes out.

You can always buy it from one of the Euro sites, the rest of the world has it but we are trying too polish it a little for you yanks.

Just check Justflight, now it won't take any order from U.S. address. Any alternative methods or website to buy?

I guess Id rather delay to have a polished version, I already pre-bought it on steam so unless I squelch, Im kinda stuck.

I don't want to, but I'm really doubting how "polished" this game will be when if released in July.

Believe me, you are better off waiting. The frustration of waiting is much better than the frustration of playing it in its current state. I am frustrated with it using a new rig purchased specifically for it (i2500, GTX 580 1.5 Gb card etc etc). I am getting stutters, lock ups, launcher crashes and a myriad of other unsolved problems. And quite frankly, it has become boring very quickly - unless you are prepared to spend quite a bit of time in the FMB creating missions and are lucky enough to get it to play what you have just developed without a launcher crash.

Some of us were waiting for Judgement Day too. I guess someone wanted to wait until CoD came out in USA.

The american release is keeping this game alive, if the western and american release had been on the same day I think luthier would of been joining Oleg (i.e. as far away as possible from CLOD) The more the american release gets put back the more chance we have of getting the game in a playable state. There is so much to do and fix before they even try to implement the features that they advertised that after the American release i think we should consider ourselves very lucky if they continue to support it, something that at this stage I very much doubt they will.

Yeah you can polish a pig all you want but at the end of the day its still a pig. If I was the US I wouldn't touch this game with a barge pole for the next six months at least, more likely a year.

Is it better to have no game than to have a game that works but not perfect?

This game is top of the range but like all simulations it needs some amelioration.

There is a positive side in me that is sure the Maddox team will continue to develop and enhance the game.
There is so much that needs patching and fixing at this early stage that I sometimes feel frustrated, and at times angry that I can't enoy it to its full capacity.
That said, when it does come right, and we continue to get more theatres and aircraft etc, I'll probably look back on this and laugh.. (fingers crossed)
It's far to easy to focus on the negatives, but as I've never done that in any real life situation, I'm not about to let a computer game change that outlook.. there are far more real life issues to deal with.
