I have changed the checklist that goes with the diagram above, as I forgot to mention that the CMSP switch needs clicking 4 times to set it to Standby.
For clarity, the columns would have the headings:
Operation / Diagram Number / Condition / Area.
I know that there is a list of the abbreviations used in the manual, but I did not refer to them here.
My thinking was simple - LCF = Left Console Front ; LCM = Left Console Middle ; LCR = Left Console Rear and so on. Some were marginal, but it's just to give a general idea of where to look - it's on the diagram anyway. FL and FR refer to front left/right - i.e. the 'dashboard'.
As for the multiply numbers in brackets - on the first column it refers to how many switches there are and in the third column it means how many times you click it, if more than once.
This routine was taken directly from the Start-Up training mission and it works in the other missions, where you start from the ramp.
I have checked today as I continue to read through the manual, and the training start-up differs in several ways from the one described in the 'Aircraft Start-Up Procedures' section of the manual (from page 425).
However, this one does work and will get you flying very quickly. The manual version from p425 has more detail in regards to systems preparation and set-up.
