Hi, is there a complete idiots guide to setting up Facetrack noir? I've tried lots of different settings but I either get no response in game or it's looking off in one direction. Any help out there? Thanks.

We recently discussed it here. I also posted my own configuration there. There is no final verdict on how to set it up. There's a lot of experimentation involved.

I use Facetracknoir with Rof, wop, Cod, fsx with a Logitech 5000. It works good and smooth, finally I'm free to look anywhere without using my thumb on the joystick at zero cost. It is not difficult to set it, follow the instructions on the facetracknoir site, and known issues if you have a i5 or i7 cpu. It seems that a ps3 eye cam gives better results, but I'm happy enough with my quickcam 5000.

This thread http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=267&t=15374 is useful too, especially CasperNilsson config in post 7, paste it into your config file in install folder.

Also make sure you do the updates properly, I managed to bodge that and was flying with 1.0 for a while, 1.5 helps a lot (curvy!) and 1.6 is a little better again, though you need to give a few quid for it. Make sure you have good lighting, it can lose tracking quite easily in poor light. I'm thinking I might make a wotsit to stick on my head and try freetrack as well as I prefer to play in dim lighting.
