That's because:

Field Mods for the Albatros D.Va and SPAD XIII.C1 are already available to you and not available for additional purchase.

Meaning that they are for free and you'll have them upon release. smile

I would have preferred to buy each mod separately instead of per plane. Example is the fokker dvii if I only wanted the Anemometer I have to play 5 bucks for ALL of the mods. That seems strange to me to be done that way.

A buck a mod seems a fair price though... but is that a preorder price? Will they go up later?

Also what happens when new mods come out? Will we just get them for free if we have bought the mod pack for the plane or will they be listed separate?

*cough*

Ahem ...Where are the field modifications that make our planes worse? From what I can see they make the planes slightly more effective!

(This is so not marketed to me wink - But then, maybe I should fly a Camel instead of a D.XII and get some therapy??)

Yes, I was also hoping to be able to purchase just the Aldis (all I'm interested in) and then be able to use it in the A/C I wanted to. Would have paid -say- $5-$7 for an unrestricted Aldis alone.

I do see the logic in arranging them by airplane as well though, just not the way I'd prefer to buy them.

I suspect we'll see further packs for certain planes. The current packs will be pack 1, further packs will have to be bought, which is OK imo.

This isn't the way I expected to buy them but I can see that the work is adding the stuff to each individual aircraft, so it makes sense from that point of view.

Am i right in thinking that the pre-order pricing will remain the same as when the fieldmods/next patch are released.

you`re right actually. With limited time and resources one needs to be ruthless in focusing on things that matter...otherwise one ends up with COD frown

Sorry for that dumb Question but will the Field Mods work NOW or with the next Update?

Again to 777:
You do a great Work and I even would pay for the Career Mod.

Heh, my guess is, they are in the rotary file cabinet with all the other similar ideas...

...cuz' we all know every last one of us would run right out and spend money to make the planes worse....

777 would become the next Google the day after they impliment that idea. WinkNGrin

I did the same, for the same reason. What Jason and crew are doing is priceless.

I bought them all within minutes of release.

When RoF was released it had a serious lack of content, I frequently posted this opinion and stated that I felt it needed a new SP career mode. Even though I felt this way I bought every new aircraft they released, at the same time I still complained RoF needed a new career mode. When Jason said a new career mode with more immersion was in the works I stopped complaining. RoF is finally reaching a level hoped it would, I knew RoF was a long term investment for simmers, the devs keep adding stuff and I will keep buying it to support them.

Another Question:

Will a Rear View mirror come?

I see them today in an Osprey-Book.
Some German Pilots have them.
I think this would be a good Field Mod,or?

Hi guys.

I have a single question to ask.
First, I'm thinking of buying this mod but while you simply get an advantage over non-field modification user(if they dont use axis disabling trick for Trackir and such), is it possible that this mod might be disbanded in game by MP server side?

Poor comment, we had a disaster with ROF already and thanks to the support of 777 and those of us that have invested in ROF we now have a great sim that will only get better, particularly with the upcoming campaign, If we and the devs support CoD to the same extent we may well see similar improvements.

This isnt a battle between ROF and CoD, these two sims go hand in hand depending on which conflict you feel like flying in, I can only hope Ilya sticks with CoD as Jason has with ROF, this could be the best time ever for flight simmers, we just need to understand that the genre is not a big player anymore and it will require our support to stay viable, this goes for ROF, CoD and the DCS sims, all are worth having on your hard drive if you are a flight sim fan like myself.
