I know it has been somewhat slow lately, and I know for certain that some of our primary dude's (Magnum and Fatty) are busy with real life situations...That doesn't mean a lot of us core-members are missing, or losing their 'military monday' edge, Adlabs is here and Administrating, as for our other members (There is a list, and I dont want to miss anyone) who are a staple to our gaming night run a muck on a regular weekly basis, we must keep that edge sharp...And bring in some new blood who want to participate the same way as always.
I don't want to sound like a d*ck but what really chap's my a*s is the whole 'come play coop's on our server' threads in SimHQ's Arma Forum; we're a gaming group, as per usual respect to a gaming group, its usually in good standing to try to participate with the same people you're marketing to.
Another thing, if I post anything else on I44 or any additional mods, I was thinking we make a sub-category in the ArmA forum for "Free play/general/mods" discussion so that we can filter out any fluff or spam from myself, or any further random's (members even...) in the group and keeping our discussions on point in the primary forum for more 'Mil Monday' or any proposed SimHQ gaming nights that may be off kilter to our weekly game.
Does this make sense or am I being an absolute d*ck. Either way, its a proposition that I assumed would be fair to all of use and save us from having to prune through the forum from any important points of discussion for our gaming nights/group.
Thanks for hearing me out, Enven
RIP Kevin "Positive G" Speichts

Thanks Adlabs.
I just feel like its somewhat funny that some random strangers would market event's, yet never participate in ours, assuming they know what we're about.

By the way, I would say your posts on I44 are exactly where they belong in the current ArmA forum. After all, they're an extension of the non-MM ArmA play that our regulars enjoy. And anything our SimHQ players get together and enjoy with ArmA is always a doorway to trying their hand at our MM events.

Makes sense. I assumed so, just tried tossing the idea around.

Sure Raintitan, join us tonight. You didn't mention if you've got TeamSpeak 3 configured (which is a requirement), but you'll find guidance on that here: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3137414.html

Yep, please do. Just install all the addons, then join the server and load a mission on each of the addon maps, Takistan, and Chernarus.
You don't have to play them, just load through and then cancel out. This will let you know if you've got any addon problems that might foul up your gameplay time later during the event.

I don't think it's necessary to split the forum. Our volume of posts is fairly low; we've got threads a month old still hanging around the front page. Likewise, the volume of MM-related posts is low; typically just the weekly reminder and an occasional thread about mod changes or campaigns. Enven, I hear where you're coming from regarding the posts from outside groups. I love our big turnouts, so posts drawing people to groups can sometimes cause a bad knee-jerk reaction. But provided that the posts are in good faith (e.g. by asking beforehand, as recent posters apparently have), it's hard to have a problem with them. I know I've posted about Military Monday on other forums and have been thankful for the opportunities to do so. These groups have other styles of play in mind, so it's not as if we're in direct competition - there's room for everyone as far as I am concerned BTW - full disclosure here - no real life situations keeping me away from MM, although I do start a new job next week that's going to devour a lot of my free time. I'll be on the level and say that I've taken a step away due to personal frustrations over MM. It generally takes me about 4-5 hours to produce a mission. When they go off the rails as that campaign mission did two weeks ago due to notes going unread and orders not being followed, it's a stressful situation. So I'm taking some time to sort of 're-calibrate' my sense of enjoyment on Monday nights.

I can appreciate your frustrations. I've been busy with the real world the last few weeks (girl friend visiting, work and such), so I haven't been able to play as much on Mondays (or Arma in general), but I'm also using the time to get excited about MM again. I think the whole UBL dead thing might help with that.

Tomcat,
I had tried to get a 'west-coast' night going, with a little bit of success, quite a while ago.
Might be worth starting a thread and checking interest in a night to do a later session.
Cheers! Monitoring West Coast Sensor sweep: You could even have it do the I44/Viet etc ie mods once in awhile to give it extra pizzaz and flair.
