Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi,
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri;
Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra md,
Dros ryddid collasant eu gwaed.
Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad.
Tra mr yn fur i'r bur hoff bau,

Amazing resemblance to the real people.

Glad I didn't get an invitation...what do you have to put in the envelope as a wedding gift..10 thousand pounds dollars or Euros??

Yeah, that's well done.

I still don't get the fascination with this wedding, though. I can see it being reported on in the news because of their notoriety, but nothing more than a simple mention that a royal is getting married, and then if a significant problem comes up or when it finally happens. Aside from that, how much do we really need/want to know?

rant-on-off

My ISP will be doing live coverage @ 4AM, local time. An entire team of stylists and whatever will be making worthless comments about some event we (perhaps since everybody else is talking about it, I should say "I"?) have nothing to do with.. cuss2

Not going to happen. The media is going to scrutinize Kate and compare her endlessly to Diana. Especially their (the media) perceived shortcomings of Kate when compared to Diana.

Same here.

Quite honestly I couldn't give a rats ass about it. I'm not British or even a British subject who lives in a Commonwealth country so why should I?

You don't have to have an interest, neither do I and believe me, I don't!!!

The thing is, someone in your country certainly does because you have sent a million reporters, 800 miles of cable etc etc.

I heard there was something like a minimum of 1 Billion viewers tuning in.

But yea, as I say a royal waste of money but at least I get a day orf biggrin

True. Unfortunately I can't vouch for the stupidity of so many of my fellow Americans. smile

Don't worry, I don't even care about it either and I'm British.

Wait, you get a day off? Crap, and here I am in foreign employment!

Ditto.
Luckily I am working all day Friday so I don't have to see any of it.

Our Boston station sent someone over there for a full week's of coverage, why the hell would anyone in the US want a full week of coverage of a Royal Wedding unless you lived over there?

Why would anyone be interested in the 'comings and goings' in Ballywood? Yet there is constant blathering in/on the medias.

As for the Royal wedding, doesn't every woman dream of having such a wedding?

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Yes, the superficial ones.

See, that's a problem we, on the continental side of the Channel, will never have. We took care of the matter centuries before television was even invented... I think we still have some of those guillotines stored somewhere, just in case, and we'd be happy to arrange shipping to the UK if you'd like biggrin

Cheers

Wow, 'ole Tara Palmer Tomkinson is doing her bit to put people off the Columbian marching powder, what a conk!

That Farrow bloke you executed today, are you sure he's dead?
Well I chopped his head off, that usually does the trick.
Yes, don't get clever with me Baldrick. I just thought you might have lopped off a leg or something by mistake.
No, the thing I chopped off had a nose.
