Easter sale + Newcastle brown ale = planes in hanger!

That Farrow bloke you executed today, are you sure he's dead?
Well I chopped his head off, that usually does the trick.
Yes, don't get clever with me Baldrick. I just thought you might have lopped off a leg or something by mistake.
No, the thing I chopped off had a nose.

Thanks for the sale and the extension!!!

I am a new owner of RoF, and I now have all of the planes.

My only problem is deciding on which one to really learn how to fly well. biggrin

It's the plane of choice, the plane of masters, the plane that always will be a challenge.

So, how do you buy planes if you can't log into the website? I'm getting 404 error, probably because the Amazon fiasco is still going on.

Edit: weird, I get the 404 error, but when I click on the profile link it shows me logged in, so I can purchase the planes.

Woo Hoo!
Thanks Jason and team for all the hard work on the game.
Just completed the entire plane set with the Gotha G.V, Breguet 14.B2 (Preorder) and the DWF C.V..
On top of that I bought a new PC this weekend to install them on.

Just bought a bunch of planes for 36 bucks. Only few missing and I am pretty sure I'll buy them until the sale ends. I am such a weak minded person biggrin

The DFW's great fun, especially with its 16 bombs. Even I can hit the target when I've got 16 bombs available....

You can give 1916 era scouts some trouble with the front gun as well smile

Well, I wasn't going to buy the Gotha, but I a couldn't resist the sale price. I can now see what everyone mean't regarding the handling. Certainly not for the faint of heart. I have yet to land it without causing significant damage biggrin ..

I'd like my money to go to improved AI, please. yep

Power on approach, Keep it to around 90-100kph, let her settle on to the ground. Slower and you lose yaw authority, yaw stability, and bad things happen.

Careful with the ailerons, don't use more than about 25% deflection or drag from the down elevator will cause your input to reverse. The Gothas one of my favourite planes, nicer to fly than the lumbering HPO when you get used to its quirks.

Thanks Mogster. The adverse yaw is certainly a big factor with this airplane (and with the H.P too).

Just filled up my hangar. Now I am the owner of all, master of none.

I loved flying bombers in IL2, so I imagine I'll try and take up one of the 2 big birds and see how it goes. This should be fun.

The 26th (today) is the last day of the sale correct?

Jason posted earlier that the sale would be extended to allow its original duration to be available to make up for the server outage when Amazon dropped the ball earlier this week.

It's still ongoing, get to shopping!

Why aye man!!! biggrin

Thats nowt, I once woke up in a wheelie bin with a traffic cone on my head after a 'Broon ale Odyssey', bizarrely clutching a copy of 'David Hasslehoffs greatest hits'.

Everything in moderation, and drink responsibly...eh? Let this be a lesson to you all.

That said, the ale did indeed guide you upon the correct path, as so oft is the case.

hahaha

Any news on a rough ETA for the Breguet Jason? I pre-ordered and I'm looking forward to it, especially for when we have the new career mode. Have the DFW and like it too, but the heavies aren't really my 'ting' (look great though).

The Biff and Snipe are what I'm really waiting for, big favourite's of mine. Smile2

Cheers.

I'm looking forward to 1.019 in part because once 1.019's out the door we'll probably get some Biff screenies smile
