wow great stuff. Love that scene where the lead guy drops out of nowhere if front of the camera and then down deep in the valley below yeah that was pretty fantastic.. those 1st person shots maneuvering through the valley are incredible! I also love the close turns around the cliffs. I was getting a nice rush just watching hehe. That's gotta be an amazing experience.

My Goosebumps have goose bumps, simply outstanding video. While I hold a PPL/IR, that has to be the purest form of flight I have ever seen, I am simply blown away, the hair on the back of my neck and arms is still standing on end.
Mankind's greatest strength, and greatest weakness, is hope.

Is there anyway to get a HD download of this so it can be watched on my 46" TV? The links under the video didnt seem to point to one. If you have an account with vimeo, you can often download the videos right from the page. However some videos are not available for download. In which case you can use this site to download the video you want. cheers, -d Reading the comments, i just seen this one from the makers of the video. What you see in this video is an example of years of training. All flyers have 500 to 2500 wingsuitjumps, on top of their normal skydiving/basejumping experience. Well there goes my dreams of doing this any time soon haha :P

They are not really flying because they are constantly loosing altitude. They are more like free falling with a boost, like directional guided free falling.
Never seen this before and was wondering, how do these guys land? Then late in the video I saw a guy pop a parachute, and I understood what they were doing! its not free falling. There is a clear differnce between free falling and gliding. These guys are gliding (aka flying).

here's some lift I don't know if this qualifies as the "real lift" you're looking for, but it's lift. and here's more, some of which describe the angle of attack and it's effects on your situation in the air. According to them flying "flat" pushes you up, so you are not losing altitude but getting lift. You can do this to the point where you stop moving forward and enter a stall. At which case I'd presume you would then be sky diving ;-) if you're in a glider, are you not still flying? I'd say yes. Same with wing suits, in my opinion. Either way, I just put up the OP for people to enjoy it for what it was. Some incredible footage of wingsuit flight.
