Hey guys,

I'm getting an occasional BSOD on boot-up of my Vista 64 PC. The specific crash I'm getting is APC_INDEX_MISMATCH. From what I can gather via Google, this is likely caused by a problem with my RAM or possibly my BIOS settings, but I haven't got the first clue about how to diagnose and then correct the problem(s).

Any help that anyone can provide would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I believe Vista has a built in memory diagnostic tool. Also you can use something like Memtest86+: http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

I would definitely try the Windows one first.

Post the Mini-Dumps,

it could be Bad Driver, Boot-Virus, or hardware failure.

Most likely a memory setting in the bios. Have you tried over clocking recently?
Try this, go into your bios and use the "set to default" option to see if your system will run stable.

Make sure your power supply is big enough. I thought mine was until I kept getting the BSOD.I first found bad memory then it happened again and found out I didn't have a big enough power supply.

First, I would pop the memory out and make sure they are seated properly back in the slots.
