If this is true, it is equally as stupid as the original April 19 launch date (Ah, Portal 2, anyone?), since Dirt 3 is set to release on May 24. If they are delaying to get out of shadow of other titles, they aren't in the sun here either.

If they are delaying to get out of shadow of other titles, they aren't in the sun here either. To hazard a guess they've fallen foul of the 'three strikes' rule at Steam. Steam get annoyed if as a dev shop you keep wanting to fast-track out vital patches, as Steam are meant to QA them normally (i.e. Steam support gets the angry emails if everyone's install is borked). The US is a big market, and people tend not to have that Dunkirk spirit over release quality so much. You can ask Steam to 'fast track' patches once or twice, but not every week. Best guess is that some guy in Steam said, 'Yeah, tired of this - end of May sounds good for us - let us know how you get on'. 1C will probably say something a little easier on the eye like "We've worked with our partners to come up with a mutually exciting date, so please keep calm and carry on - plus what's Dirt 3 again? Oh, I see. Doh!"

Not a big or stable enough title to justify it. Statistically a tiny blip on the content servers. Would have been nice though. PS Extra reminder for anyone purchasing from places like JustFlight to just get the key and activate/download it via Steam - you'll save hours (4GB download)

I live in NY and bought mine from Justflight 1 1/2 weeks ago. No problem installing. Its just as if I bought it from Steam. It updated in steam and works well on my system even in its current buggy state. Still I would recommend waiting for a while, so it doesnt leave a bad taste in your mouth. Just throwing that out their for any impatient people like me.

Downloading through the JustFlight installer/downloader thingy was torture! Just bite the bullet and get it now, if it's on your wishlist. Nothing like playing for a few hours every time a patch comes out to get a sense of how the sim is "growing up" ;-) Waiting until may?! Bah! Bring on the bugs and 12FPS!! -d

Rob yeah don't buy it if you know you'll get frustrated or it will leave you disillusioned. But if you're one of those that's willing to accept that this is still basically a beta for the NA release and don't mind the bugs, then get it. I'm in the latter camp and love flying/fighting in my 109 - warts and all. I've gotten my entertainment's worth of money.

Well, I've waited several years for this - another month or two won't kill me.
Heck, I'm wrestling with finding time for Black Shark, IL-2: 1946, and Rise of Flight as it is.
The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events. More dumb stuff at http://www.darts-page.comFrom Laser: "The forum is the place where combat (real time) flight simulator fans come to play turn based strategy combat."
