I've used Steam for years without issue. I've downloaded games through Steam and installed games that simply require a Steam login.
My experience with CoD and Steam was very good. Install, activate, autoupdate and I was good to go. The autoupdate feature is a bonus for me as it means I don't have to go hunting around and downloading patches/updates.
The RoF update system is good and I like it but if it had been done via Steam it wouldn't have bothered me at all.

I have no problem with Steam, CoD now that's another matter...

Yeah, same here. Steam is okay, but CoD...well, let us talk about it in a year or so :/
