Hey gang, Since I didn't get much in the way of requests for a new campaign, I went ahead and started up the Taiwan - War of Independence campaign. Hopefully the battle will last a little longer than Saudi Arabia, but not quite as long as Opium War! Connection requires Hamachi - if you aren't familiar, check similar campaign threads or ask for details in this one. Server: spectreserver, spectreserver2 or spectreserver3 (1 and 2 are probably both full) Password: letsfly! BTW, I've had at least 32 people sign up to the server since I started it up - looks like EECH MP is alive and kicking!

Yeah somethings up with my connection settings, not only was I getting a lot of lag but also I was incapable of typing messages. When I send a message, it just displays me name (like it normally would) but where my text should have been it was just blank. I'm going to try a clean install later today, hopefully that will fix my problem. Just wanted you to know, I did know you were there. P.S. I also was watching you in the blackhawk as you were shooting down the flight of hokums using only rockets. Nice shooting, man! akwar: Once you have hamachi running you have to connect to our network by pressing the little triangle thing. The network is spectreserver3 and the password is letsfly! Once you have done that, launch the game and you should see the server under the multiplayer campaign list. If you don't, go to the multiplayer options in game and make sure its set to TCP/IP and that the second box is blank. I even just click on it, press backspace, and then enter. That should have you flying through tiawan in no time.

LOL, Thanks. Well, they kinda pissed me off when they shot me down in my 1-ship - teach me to try to fly in so close, I didn't think they were gonna fire on me. So I jumped in my 2-ship for some payback! After I used up my rocks I landed at the nearby farp to retool and went back and finished the original mission! Ended up taking out something like 6 Hokums using HFs and rockets, plus all the ground stuff in the area. It went down late last night (directplay error) - it's back up and running now. Originally posted by predator_blue: Is the server still running?

By the way are any of you guys using teamspeak or another comms program for this?It would be a lot more fun and let us know there are humans playing.

I had a TS server running, but folks thought it might be affecting gameplay so I've temporarily stopped it. I may start it back up again soon just to see if the problem persists. In the meantime I believe at least a couple other folks may have a TS server running? Campaign Update: Day 2 0513 Balance of Power: Blue 56% Red 44% Red still has an advantage in combat helos with 136 vs 110 for Blue. Both teams have one objective completed. Overnight action (0000 hrs to 0500 hours) saw mostly non-combat missions (transports, supply missions, etc.) but the OOB shows numerous combat missions up and coming. In some of the heavier action, I flew a four-ship cap mission in an Apache with 3 Commanches. We had a hell of a battle near grid 030-041 when we encountered two 4-ships of Hokums/Havocs. Missles were flying everywhere! Wish I'd had time to take some screenshots, it was a beautiful sight. When the smoke cleared there were only two Commanches left standing (had to bail on my Apache), but we managed to clear the skies successfully. The ocean was littered with the remains of 10 smoking helos. I don't usually fly cap missions, but after this one I may have to consider flying them more often!!
